Upon closer inspection, one of them is a HoP and the other is a bartender. The HoP is someone who just got their whitelist, but other than that you haven't had much contact with the player. The bartender is a player you know rather well, you've had quite a few interactions with their other characters and has had mostly good conduct.(edited)

Nothing much besides your usual screaming and yelling in pain ICly, LOOC is empty. The firefight ends with the bartender somehow managing to get the HoP down with his shotgun before cable tying him and taking his ID.

Bartender's just buckled the HoP in a small room now, hidden in maintenance and constructed with a false wall as an entrance.
The bartender says that he's been bribed by a security officer to do this because his character's girlfriend is being held hostage by him off station.

It doesn't seem like the bartender is roleplaying the consequences of the conflict very well so far, so I point that out to him. In the meantime I'd like to verify his story by bwoinking the antag sec officer and asking if he asked anyone to do antaggy things lately.
To quote the rules, "It is also very much encouraged that you roleplay out the consequences to such conflict where possible."
Did the bartender construct the false wall? If they did then it might be a bit powergamey. Why would a bartender know how to build it?

Alright, so the action itself is justified. The conflict developed ICly. The execution is the poorer aspect.
Looks like the bartender is a bit too cold blooded. Assaulting and kidnapping your boss, and taking their ID, is pretty drastic. I'd expect some roleplay to go with it.

Sure. It does sound a bit vague.
I enjoy being a part of the Aurora community and playing on the server. A great way to say "thank you" is to invest my time in to the quality of the community itself.
There are plenty of mods online in American times, but I'm from an European time zone. I've seen other high roleplay servers degenerate in to low RP during their dead hours, and it'd be a shame for Aurora to suffer a similar fate.
Usually some staff is online even during dead hours, but more is better.(edited)

Everything seems great so far. I really like the fact that many of the big decisions come down to a vote.
Some servers outright ban conflict for non antags. I think Aurora strikes a nice balance between the extremes.
