- An Act to Regulate Homeowner's Associations in the State of Missouri
- Section 1. Homeowner's Association Elections
- (a) All homeowner's association board member elections shall be conducted as part of local elections and be listed on the ballot of registered voters living in the affected neighborhood.
- (b) Homeowner's associations shall provide notice of upcoming board member elections to all residents of the association at least thirty (30) days before the election.
- (c) The Missouri Constitution and the Bill of Rights shall apply to any rule or regulation established by a homeowner's association.
- Section 2. Homeowner's Association Dues
- (a) Homeowner's association dues for a home may not exceed ten percent (10%) of the mortgage payment or the median mortgage payment on that block, whichever is lower.
- (b) Homeowner's associations shall provide written notice of any change in dues to all residents of the association at least sixty (60) days before the change takes effect.
- Section 3. Effective Date
- This Act shall become effective on January 1, 2024.
