Dear Diary,

Today was really hot and muggy. Felt like summer not fall.

Today I set off to find where the new path goes the end that doesn’t go to Dr. Kamishirasawa’s village, the one with the Statue. It’s scary, but Dr. Keine is nice. There are some really big houses there, but not like Baroness Scarlet's palace.

So I went the other way. It ended in a big clearing. I could faintly hear voices. It smelled like wet dirt and cut wood and. The sun was super bright, so I couldn’t see things well. I could smell wood, and I kept hitting tree stumps. Then I tripped through a paper door and I was in a room with lots of beds and a stove. The light still hurt my eyes. Something smelled like the Border, and I was scared someone would see me. So I ran away, and hit a stump again.

Once I was back in the cool shade I walked to the other side. I could hear shouting, and smell hot wood and sweat. Looking into the clearing hurt, but I could see lots of people, and houses with parts missing. It really hurt my eyes, but I looked anyway. I got really hungry. I could smell the sweat, and hear their voices, deep and middle and high. I liked watching all the people moving around, especially because people kept adjusting their clothes, and then I could see their skin. But that made me really really hungry, so I hid in the forest to plan.

[  ] I shouldn’t eat them right away. I shouldn’t just eat them right now.
[  ] Watch the workmen/women. They look big, but like good runners. So maybe try to get one at night?

[  ] Try to watch the people looking at paper and counting. They look so sweet and like they might trip. Try to wait until one wanders into the woods.
