+Luke Matheson __ Interesting. If you can please pass this on to "Jonah TheScientiist" - I don't suppose you can tell me *how* you stumbled upon his recent Google Plus post? First of all this video is about "Peggy Whitson" and her *clear inability to speak Russian* (is anyone going to dispute that?!) which helps to build the case that the English-speaking "NASA astronauts" *cannot speak any meaningful Russian* even though they repeatedly *insist to children* that they can and do. How can *actively exaggerating and misrepresenting* the talents and abilities of "NASA employees" to *trusting children* ever be defended or excused? _What kind of dishonest person would attempt such a thing?_


Secondly - that guy you are linking to ["Jonah TheScientiist"] - is someone who (if I'm not mistaken) has trolled me under a different username in the past (though it could always be someone new). Interestingly - _though not surprisingly_ - he has *cowardly disabled comments* on his post because he is no doubt *terrified of a dialogue* concerning this issue.


"Jonah TheScientiist" is citing a *pre-recorded interview* of "Chris Hadfield" which contained *at least one hard cut* during the speech of "Chris Hadfield" and additional potential editing points which can be used to get it sounding as "smooth", "rapid" and "confident" as it was (for we did not see "Chris Hadfield" on camera throughout the entirety of the "speech").


*As it happens I featured that very video of "Chris Hadfield" in a previous presentation* on this topic which can be found here: watch?v=wVL7ezCXKvM Furthermore - _and this is important_ - what "Chris Hadfield" spoke in that clip *was easily pronounced and rehearsed*. To go from that smooth, clear, rapid and confident Russian (which was pre-recorded and undeniably edited) to the mumbling, fumbling and stumbling of broken sentences whenever he is "live" or "on the spot" *only proves the point I am making*.


If "Chris Hadfield" really could speak Russian (like he purportedly did in the *pre-recorded* video) *then he would sound smooth, clear, rapid and confident when attempting to speak Russian elsewhere while "live" or otherwise "on the spot"*.


I have provided several *counter examples* where "Chris Hadfield" is allegedly "live" and "on the spot" (without the luxury of a post-production team to perform cuts and edits to get it right) *and just like "Peggy Whitson" he clearly cannot speak any meaningful Russian*.


On the strength of what we are permitted to see I cannot accept that "Chris Hadfield" knows enough Russian *to pilot a highly technical "Soyuz"* (which apparently is "all in Russian") worth tens to hundreds of millions of dollars *and where failure can result in the catastrophic loss of life* _let alone hold down even a part-time job cleaning toilets as a janitor in Russia_. Either piloting a "Soyuz" requires a command of Russian which "Chris Hadfield" clearly does not have *or the requirement for "NASA astronauts" to "learn Russian" is being misrepresented to us*.


A more recent example of "Chris Hadfield" *trying* to speak some Russian while live can be seen in the following "periscope stream" excerpt where he speaks something simple and common in Russian *but then hesitates and fumbles badly to complete the sentence* (watch between 1m:3s and 1m:13s): watch?v=kHzvf_n6bpo


By all means notify "Jonah TheScientiist" of this reply (if you can) so that he and I can have a *one-on-one discussion* about his claim that "Chris Hadfield" *can* speak Russian since he has made it impossible for me to respond to him at his G+ post. By the way - does "Jonah TheScientiist" also allege that "Peggy Whitson" can speak Russian or is his claim limited to "Chris Hadfield"? I would like very much to hear his opinion on it! ))


It should also be noted that on the Google Plus of "Jonah TheScientiist" he has lumped me in with a whole raft of *bullsh!t flat Earther channels and claims* so he evidently hasn't the first clue as to who I am or why I am pointing out *genuine criticisms* of "NASA" - _or he does but is seeking to tarnish my reputation by encouraging a belief that I am somehow associated with the flat Earth frauds_.
