I return to give you an update on my "reopening" of the writing/drawing contest. If you are not already aware, I plan on judging the entries that were not awarded prizes solely by myself, and awarding them in recompense.

First off on the new agenda, I plan on separating the drawing into three (3) categories: best inking/b&w, best colored, and best character dynamic/interaction. Each will have a decisive winner and a runner-up. I think I even have the winners and runners up picked out from the gallery, but I still have to check the /vg/ archives (and possibly contact Hearts) to find out who submitted them. You know, since that's how judging should be done.

Alongside drawing comes writing, obviously, but this presents more of a problem. Assuming that nobody else submits, there are three entries that I can choose from. I have not yet read any of them. So I can end up giving prizes to everyone just for trying, or end up with a skewed drawing:writing winner ratio. I don't really know what to do here, as it stands. That is why I hope that I can get some revisions/late submissions.

On that note, revisions/late submissions must be submitted to me and identified as such. I plan on making the deadline approximately 52 hours from now. Anybody who thinks their work can be improved is welcome to revise and resubmit.

The available prizes are in the attached image, in addition to two Humble THQ Bundles, which will be treated as one prize each. I paid more than the average amount for them, so they will include Saints Row 3.

I will not give the Crysis Pack to any winner unless they take a screenshot of http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri showing them the results for Crysis 1. I recognize that the tool is retarded sometimes, so I'll try to be lenient. It's just that I really would like to play these games if I ever get a better computer and I don't want them being thrown away. Also, The Deus Ex: Human Revolution DLC is just the DLC; no game.

Gift distribution will be handled over Steam, and here is how it will work as of right now. Once all the writing and drawing winners are decided, they will all be grouped together and ranked, just like the previous iteration of this contest. Any of the drawing winners who opts out of their prize will be replaced in the rankings by their runner-up. And as I have said, I don't know how I will handle the writing portion of this contest. I may end up with two winners with no runners-up, two winners with two runners-up, three winners with no runners-up, or maybe even one winner with one runner-up with another runner-up.



You may be wondering why I don't just organize a different contest to make more OC, instead of relying on existing entries. As I have said before, revisions and late submissions are welcome, so some good content may still be generated by this. Furthermore, I don't wish to steal the show. I'd like for this to be supplementary to the previous contest instead of an offshoot that causes a bunch of problems. Finally, as Hearts said himself, people have finals coming up and I don't wish to disturb that by giving them an incentive to cut into their studies. So please, go ahead and delete that line so you can redo it, but for the love of God don't kill yourself making something from scratch.
