Meguca 3: Wherein Magical Girls Learn Things(?)

[21:47] <Genshuku> THE YEAR IS 20XX. EVERYONE MAINS FOX. COUNTERS TO FOX BEING MAINED WERE CONSIDERED, BUT IT JUST LED TO A GAME WHERE THE LAST PERSON TO CHOOSE A CHARACTER WINS. IN ESSENCE, EVERY CHARACTER BUT FOX WAS BANNED, AS WELL AS A FEW OTHERS THAT NO ONE WOULD EVEN THINK ABOUT PLAYING, LIKE BOWSER AND PICHU.
[21:50] <Genshuku> ...The megucas, after a very, very long slumber, rise once more, to do the motions of their normal lives. But, come 4 PM, the town square awaits, for the party to gather together once more! And, perhaps, Fate can answer any questions they might have, such as 'why did you throw us into Titan (Hard) undergeared'!
[21:52] <Genshuku> ...And, perhaps Fate might have questions of its own?
[21:56] * %Matsubara_Hotaru has arrived to the scene while concealing her ears with a hat and wearing a long dress to hide the tail. She, of course, waits for the other girls to arrive as they should soon.

[22:03] * Kasuga_Makoto arrives as well, dressed in more casual wear, this time. She wasn't transformed, and she seemed far less imposing or suspicious. Well, except for the odd headaches she was getting. A little more since yesterday, actually, along with the letters. They were a pressing concern...
[22:04] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> Miyu, after that stressful incident, wasn't really certain if she wanted to go again. But the idea of Fate, in all their huggableness, being their, added a somewhat flimsy amount of resolve to her desire to attend, causing her to drag her body... as well as her trusty screwdriver... to the town square!
[22:04] * Kasuga_Makoto slumps into a bench, letting out a sigh. "...Things were certainly stacked against us, weren't they? I figured...it might be a little less harrowing than that..."
[22:05] <Genshuku> Aye, even sleep does not help Makoto's headaches. Really, sleep might have just made it worse. Of course, these headaches weren't much compared to Miyu's, for clear reasons!

[22:08] <Genshuku> But, the town square, once again, only people that are clearly magical in sight! They talk amongst themselves, and...Fate makes it a point to personally rally all of the magical girls of this group together!
[22:09] * %Matsubara_Hotaru has overheard Makoto, figures that they'd arrive on time. She decides to sit down next to Makoto, "Tell me about it. Maybe it was just bad luck we had. Perhaps the next fight won't be that taxing. I feel we have learned quite a bit from that one however..."
[22:09] <Kitagawa> Kitagawa arrives on her heelcopter-hammer, already transformed! Did she ever even change back? If she was affected by the battle in any perment way, it was hard ot tell, aside from a happy glance at Miyu as she found a nice spot to land.
[22:09] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> Miyu stabs a series of question marks into Fate's head, along with an image of a house plus a carrot emoticon. Miyu has been horribly lonely

[22:11] * Kitagawa noticed she seems... agitated, and so walked over, offering a hug! Mind the hammer.
[22:12] <Genshuku> And Fate speaks! "I am...told that your first youma fight was...eventful, but nevertheless successful! And I've been busy looking into some recent, strange occurances, so apologies for not keeping with you at such a time, Miyu."
[22:14] * Kasuga_Makoto looks slightly above the fountain, as if there's something there...she doesn't seem to be entirely following what's going on...'
[22:14] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> Miyu... shoves Kitagawa with as much force as necessary to seperate herself from the clingy and annoying magical girl. That kiss last week didn't mean anything you idiot! Miyu thought without transmitting her thoughts at Kitigawa.
[22:15] <Kasuga_Makoto> "...Why is there something there..." she mumbles. "Can't any of you see it!"
[22:15] <Kitagawa> Kitagawa frowned, confused. But she looked so lonely! You give lonely people hugs and make them feel better! Why wasn't the world acting right? She'd need to talk to life's manager at this rate.
[22:16] <Kasuga_Makoto> "I'd like an answer...about why there's something hovering above the fountain, Fate. Is it another one of your kind?" She's transfixed on whatever she's looking at...
[22:17] <%Matsubara_Hotaru> "Makoto?" she replied in a bit of a concern. She looks towards the fountain as well, wondering what is going on.
[22:18] * Kitagawa notices everyone's looking at the fountain, and looks too.
[22:18] <Genshuku> Fate notices Makoto's gaze! "You're sharp, that's correct! Shen is only visible to those holding an Oblivion Seed, and is frequently napping. Granting wishes isn't easy work, and that's what it does!"
[22:19] <Genshuku> ...Somehow, it even avoids Miyu's mind's eye, which really has to be something!
[22:19] <Kitagawa> "Hi invisible person!"
[22:22] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> Miyu is also somewhat interested, but she decides to find a place that's as far away from Kitigawa as humanely possible.
[22:22] * Kitagawa thankfully doesn't notice, or she probably would have followed.
[22:23] <Genshuku> "...That said, that's all Shen does. Waits until 13 Oblivion Seeds are gathered. To even be noticed by those that have less is a waste. It's likely not possible to even communicate with it until you've gathered more. It's a thing to keep in mind for later~"
[22:24] <Kitagawa> Kitagawa considered that. "What if I yelled really really loudly?"
[22:24] * Kitagawa cleared her thoat.
[22:24] <Genshuku> "It would do no good. You might as well try yelling through a soundproof box."
[22:25] <Genshuku> "...I would turn your attention to more important business, however. For starters, in case your sound sleeps rob you of your memory, to misuse magic can result in very terrible things, so...please do not do anymore of that in the future!"
[22:25] <Kitagawa> "I did that once! All Ih ad ot do was poke a hole it in with some scissors!" Kitagawa smiled triumphantly, as though that solved everything.
[22:26] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> Miyu... decided to equip herself with her screwdriver. Juuust in case some nut ran at her with scissors.
[22:26] <Genshuku> "...In this case, the poking a hole requires Oblivion Seeds to be held." Fate attempts to complete this absurd analogy!
[22:26] <%Matsubara_Hotaru> "13 more Oblivion Seeds... We have quite a bit to go, huh? Obtaining that first one was already very taxing on ourselves. But if we keep learning from experience, things will go more smoothly right?"
[22:28] <Genshuku> "Precisely! And second...Hotaru, I would have you know. Recently, a person had experienced a vision not unlike your own. ...And, with what was in that vision, I've good reason to believe it's prophetic...in a sense. But, you had never said much about it, other than that it was quite the world ending beast."

[22:32] <Kasuga_Makoto> "...Another one? What sort of beast. Is it in any way similar to mine?"
[22:32] <Kasuga_Makoto> "That is, well..." she pauses a moment, rubbing her temples... "Well, if you know anything else about this case, please go on. And if not...we'll have to track this person down, won't we?"
[22:34] <Genshuku> "...No, I mean, you had failed to actually describe it. I am no mind reader."
[22:35] <Genshuku> "The other one was a bit more descriptive, but not much more. I should make it a point to press for details..." It's clearly mentally taking notes!
[22:35] <Kasuga_Makoto> "...Pardon me, then. I suppose I'll explain it in more detail, then." She takes a moment to recall it, and it's just as vivid as when she first saw it...
[22:36] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> Miyu quietly approachs Fate from behind in the middle of it speaking to the group! She needed some comfort... as well as seperate herself from Kitigawa with a physical object in between.
[22:37] <Kasuga_Makoto> "...The ruins of a city, a girl in black hair and silver armour and a great beast made of eyes. A great battle happens between them, and the girl seemed to be defeated."
[22:38] <Kasuga_Makoto> "...I couldn't see much more, beyond that, but if that's the future we're headed towards, I haven't a clue what might've caused such destruction. But whatever it was, I felt it had to be stopped..."
[22:39] <Genshuku> One of Fate's ears bend back to give Miyu something to hold on to, if desired! And as it does so, it listens! "...Ah. So, it is as I feared. That thing truly wasn't dead, and I imagine this would be it returning."
[22:40] <Genshuku> "...But, there is something odd. For the other one saw a vision in which the other party was successful..."
[22:40] <%Matsubara_Hotaru> "...Returning? Have you witnessed this exact youma before?"
[22:41] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> Miyu latches onto the ear, while paying careful attention to the conversation at hand.
[22:41] <Genshuku> "The very one. Though it did not wield such a power as to end the world, it was one of the first to come forth. That was...an experience. But surely, as the power of youma grow, so does its own."
[22:42] <%Matsubara_Hotaru> "Ah... So much for hoping the next youma being a cakewalk. I guess it'll only get us to take our jobs more seriously, huh?"
[22:43] <Genshuku> "Of course, while the power of this thing and its clear desire to end life as we know it are certainly to be feared...we don't understand how it gets back, nor do we understand the other one's vision, where the one fighting it succeeds..."
[22:43] <Kasuga_Makoto> "What do you mean...? Are you sure that's right?"
[22:44] <Kasuga_Makoto> "...You said the girl succeeds? If so, what do you mean 'the first'. Does it have a name? We need to know our enemy, before it arrives..."
[22:45] <Genshuku> "The youma...seemed to be capable of speech, calling itself The All-Seeing One. Though, it did not see its first defeat coming, so its claim to such a name is dubious."
[22:46] <Genshuku> "I know nothing about the one that fights this youma, which is odd, considering I'm in charge of recruitment."
[22:46] <Genshuku> "...And if I'm to stop an ending where she absorbs the entire youma and seems to go insane from it, well, that would be a good thing!"
[22:47] <Genshuku> "Because that happens."
[22:47] <Genshuku> "...I know not which future will come to pass, but I'm hoping the answer is 'neither one'..."
[22:47] * Kitagawa unconsciously looked at Miyu for a second, then looked away, feeling guilty.
[22:48] <Genshuku> "...So, in addition to looking for youma, I might ask you all to investigate these serious matters, by both magical and mundane means!"
[22:52] <%Matsubara_Hotaru> "That youma does sound very troublesome and the name alone makes it sound tough... But regardless, we will do our best to make sure nothing bad will come out of this and we will all make it out alive. I promise that!" she said very confidently.
[22:52] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> Miyu... doesn't comment! Mainly because she can't! But she does give a nod of agreement
[22:54] <Genshuku> "Twould be wiser to make sure it never comes about at all! But, I'll be counting on you, as well as the other group with a person experiencing visions, for these matters. I would delegate this to others as well, but...letting too much people know might prompt panic, strange ideas, and a lack of focus against youma. Even if a greater threat looms beyond, the present threat is still mighty pressing!"
[22:56] * Kasuga_Makoto shuts her eyes for a moment. The letters seemed to dance in and out of her vision. Something clearly was hurting in the back of her brain. "We intend to put a stop to this...or at least, if anyone /should/ do it, I will. But we won't get anywhere if we don't work together..."
[22:57] <Kasuga_Makoto> "...I want to use my new abilities to free the world from these kinds of endings. I'll have to see out this other vision-user and find out what they know, as soon as possible. That's my priority."
[22:58] <Kasuga_Makoto> "...If you haven't any leads, I might have to divine where they are, then. It might be risky...or may not even work, but it's worth a try."
[23:00] <%Matsubara_Hotaru> "I think one of the steps we should do is anaylze how we did in the fight, what went wrong and how to prevent from making the same mistakes next time. One of us lost control and nearly killed another..." she said as she rubs her chin a bit.
[23:01] <Genshuku> "...While they saw a different thing than you, they're still just about as clueless. Tis a better use of your time to find leads, rather than going through things that I've actually detailed quite nicely! While they weren't too specific, you've filled in every possible gap. The only things that could possible warrant further questioning would be but the most minute of details, and I'll take care of asking for that when next I see her."
[23:02] <Genshuku> "That said, having a battle plan would certainly prove effective for the times to come...so if you haven't gotten that sorted, you ought to! Take care of learning things while your magic is still fluid and untrained!"
[23:02] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> <So, can you tell me what happened to me in the last fight?> Miyu finally prodded Fate with out of concern for herself. She didn't feel comfortable with poking in other people's minds just yet.
[23:07] <Genshuku> Fate makes its mind easy for the reading in return! (...I hadn't truly heard what had specifically happened. Only that I was told of a large, magical disturbance from the location in which you all had slain the youma, caused by you. And I've heard about a fair few of those, so it wasn't hard to get a general idea as to what happened. If you want to know, you ought ask your companions, for they know more than I.)
[23:07] * Kasuga_Makoto shook her head in order to cement herself a little closer into the here and now, addressing the others of the group with a slightly more authoritative tone. Or at least, one that was sufficiently pointed... "That's true...I have a feeling that we rushed into that battle without learning the limits of our powers, first. But, at least we'll have time to train them, then..."
[23:08] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> <I... don't trust them yet.> Miyu admitted. <They were all diving in without a care in the world and I... I couldn't help but try to protect them.>
[23:09] <%Matsubara_Hotaru> "Yeah, for example I've realized my strength was far too weak... It will be something I'll work on for sure though."

[23:09] <Kasuga_Makoto> "I might've taken a few risks...but I still don't quite understand how to manifest my powers offensively. The youma was pretty resilient, too..." she trailed off. "But my powers seem to revolve around light...beams, projectiles and the like."
[23:11] <Genshuku> (...Trust is important. You will either have to learn, or seek new company. Hopefully, they had seen the results of their carelessness, and now know better than to be reckless again...but I've seen dafter, in my time! Consider yourself...of luck that isn't the worst.) Fate's thinking isn't half bad! Still can't get past surface thoughts, though.
[23:11] <Kasuga_Makoto> "I'll have to make sure I can cut straight through tough armour like that, next time..." she added, mostly to herself. "But I'll try to keep others out of danger. I managed to mark it with a letter or two, as well. I suppose it burns these youma?"
[23:11] <Kasuga_Makoto> "...Nevermind, I'm just rambling, sorry..."
[23:12] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> Miyu looked back at the group she was stuck with, before back at Fate. <I'll try... I guess.>
[23:13] <%Matsubara_Hotaru> "No no, it's fine. Despite that difficult fight we had, we've barely started discovering our potential. We have to keep at it, fine out our weakness, our strength and how we work around with our limitations to overcome obstacles. I mean, despite it being our very first time, especially against a very tough monster and other circumstances involved, I think it's really impressive we all made it

[23:14] <%Matsubara_Hotaru> "I was careless too, and I felt it costed us a bit. But we've pulled through, we just have to make sure to not to make the same mistakes again."
[23:17] <Genshuku> Fate nods to Miyu, and...addresses the conversation at hand! "Experience is one of the greatest teachers. Do learn your lessons well from it!"
[23:20] <Genshuku> "That said, you are free to investigate at your leisure, whenever you're ready to do so."
[23:21] <Kasuga_Makoto> "I'm ready and willing! Just...give me a moment, and I'll be off. If anyone wants to join me, I might need a little assistance."
[23:21] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> Miyu... hesitantly raises her hand. While still clutching fate with the other!
[23:24] * %Matsubara_Hotaru nods at Makoto. "Right! I'll help you as well! Hopefully we will find out something."
[23:25] * Kitagawa may be nuts, but she isn't entirely dumb. She decides to not join them, and simply walks off in a random direction. Surely after an arc away from each other, they'd be happy to see each other again!
[23:27] <Genshuku> (...I note that they haven't acknowledged your...extensive vocabulary. Is this due to similar, subtle communications, or...) Fate thinks carefully as it things words!
[23:28] <Kasuga_Makoto> "I'm planning to search the town for signs of any youma, or anything else. Hopefully, we'll have several objectives by the time our fact-finding is over with."
[23:30] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> <I... haven't gotten around to talking to them. Yet.> Miyu admitted.
[23:30] <Kasuga_Makoto> "...That, and Fate can confer with the other girl with similar visions. We might be able to eke a bit more meaning about this All-Seeing One that way...or maybe if it's controlling any lesser youma." She smiles slightly as she stands, much calmer now. "Perhaps it has generals or servants we can find and...well, eliminate."

[00:08] <&Miyu_Yoshihane> Miyu sloooowly edges away from the town square, while forgetting that Fate was in her hands as she attempts to escape to a safe distance! She'll still know where everyone is, but not vice versa!
[00:08] <Kasuga_Makoto> "I doubt she's gotten far, but her...spontaneity might help, too." Taking a moment or two, she shut her eyes in deep concentration, trying to pinpoit the missing magical girl with her powers. Barring that, she hopes to find any sources of magical distorision about!
[00:10] * Kitagawa is buying candy, nothing magical at all! She was buy a lot more than usual though, mostly for Miyu. Candy would make her feel better!
[00:15] <Genshuku> Fate...remains in her grasp, as the party threatens to split into three parts! Surely, a hairy situation...perhaps best left for another day!
