I will give Elial credit for her discovery - "floriocite" is an extraordinary thing, and it seems that we are very fortunate that this island contains it in abundance. While it is a difficult metal to extract from the earth, it has proven both durable and exceptional in other regards.

It only took what few scientists that were unfortunate enough to be relocated here to discern that the metal is...in their words, entirely self-sustaining. Something about its properties enables it to be used as both a building material and a battery. It makes little sense to me, but I suppose it is not my job to make sense of geology or engineering.

Elial's discovery may prove the key to ensuring we do not die before we have scoured this plague from our bodies and purged it from our souls.
