  3. The old with winks,
  4. the fat begins to fry,
  5. there's nobody home but
  6. jumping Joan, father, mother, and I.
  7. Stick, stock, stone dead,
  8. blind man can't see.
  9. Every knave will have a slave,
  10. you or I must be he.

  13. Old Mother Twitchett has one eye.
  14. Each time she turns her long tail and jumps a spot,
  15. she leaves part of her tail behind.

  18. There was a crooked man, who had a crooked wife.
  19. They lived in a crooked town.
  20. They had three crooked children, and they were all crooked.

  22. A crooked father, a crooked mother and three crooked children.
  23. They all got on a crooked horse and rode a crooked path.

  25. They rode day and night,
  26. and without anyone falling off,
  27. they continued to ride the crooked path.
  28. They arrived at the gates of Hell.

  30. Old Nick was happy to see them.
  31. He welcomed them inside.
  32. But sadly,
  33. they were too loud.
  34. So Nick threw them out.

  38. my father he ate me.
  39. My brothers gathered my bones from under the table
  40. and buried me beneath a large cold gravestone.
