- anoter scene which could include some backstory is that she and some of her girly friends run this lil club for Girls Only and sans wants in, but shes standing at the entrance all like "No boys allowed!" and sans legitimately wonders why because her ideals don't make any sense to him. she firmly restates "No. Boys. ALLOWED!!!" and sans explains why that makes no sense
- "why? aren't we all equals?"
- "Ugh! All you boys think you're just as good or better than us! Go away and play with your stupid trucks!"
- "...but i don't like trucks."
- "Your stupid superhero _action figures_ then!!"
- "i don't like those either."
- "UGH!!! I don't _CARE_ what you like! Just _LEAVE!!!_"
- "but i like some """girly""" things, too."
- *her friend comes out*
- "What's all the yelling about?"
- "This _boy's_ trying to get in by claiming he likes girly things!"
- "Really? I've never met a boy admit to that. Let's hear him out."
- "Hmph! Fine then! Do you like pink?!"
- "yeah, pink is great. it's the color of strawberry ice cream."
- "Do you like unicorns?!"
- "oh yeah. like, a mythical creature with wings that flies over rainbows and has a big horn to fight the badguys with? sign me up. in fact, i have this pink keychain in my pocket with rainbows on it. i think it's really cute."
- "Hmph! What about _dolls?!_"
- "actually, i played with dolls when i was small. i used to think they were tiny real people and that always fascinated me."
- "You can't be serious."
- "C'mon, [name], let him in. He's clearly not like other boys."
- "What?! No way! Not after the way they've treated us! Why do you suddenly trust _one of them_ to be different?!
- "Because not everyone is the same, [name]."
- *someone inside*
- "Yeah! I like bugs!"
- "..."
- "UUUURRGGHH! FINE! You win! You can come in! But the minute you do ANYTHING out of line, you're GONE! Do you understand?!"
- "got it."
- *inside*
- "Well here it is. You'd _better_ be grateful; you're the ONLY boy who has ever been allowed in here."
- "oh, for sure. i hate being seen as some stereotypical boy."
- *crying*
- *GASP*
- "oh my god!!! why is this little baby here on the floor?!"
- *rocks baby*
- "shh... it's okay..."
- "Uhh... that's a doll."
- "i don't care! it's crying! it shouldn't be left like this! this baby was brought home wanting love and attention! not to be abandoned like this!!! it... breaks my heart..." *tears*
- *both girls look to eachother*
- "i'm... i'm sensitive, okay. the smallest things have always made me emotional."
- "Here! I'll take her and take care of her!"
- "oh, good! don't leave her alone like that again, okay?"
- "Sorry mister!"
- "uhh... sorry about that, i--OOH!!"
- *runs over to plushies and cuddles one*
- "...You like stuffed animals, too?"
- "are you kidding? plushies are the best. i have a bunch of 'em at home that i snuggle with when i go to sleep. i love soft things."
- "oh yeah, i got distracted again."
- "So! What do you do every day?!"
- "oh, uh, most of the time i just kinda sit around on the couch watching cartoons or anime while eatin' my favorite snacks. i have friends on the internet that i talk to a lot, and i sometimes get distracted watching cute animal videos."
- "Cute animals, huh? _Like what?_"
- "kittens, bunnies, hamsters, sometimes dogs. the cat ones are my favorite, though. i like pretty much all of 'em."
- "Alright, and what do you wanna be when you grow up?!"
- "hmmmm... i actually haven't decided on that yet. im studying science at school and my dad helps me. i think outer space and science fiction and all that stuff is just _so cool_. like, imagine if we found other life forms on different planets, and got to see the pretty stars up close, and, and, i _LOVE_ the idea of there being other universes to ours. like, what if we ran into _other versions of us?!_ wouldn't that be AWESOME?!"
- "Alright, that's it, you're--"
- "No, [name], stop. Look how excited and passionate he is about it. He's got stars in his eyes! I think it's cute. Besides, science isn't a _boy_ thing anyway."
- "yeah, haven't you heard of all the smart female scientists out there that have made such a huge difference? having interests that align with silly stereotypes isn't what makes a girl. or a boy. my mom's like, SUPER into wrestling. y'know like, the kind where the big beefy men try to break eachothers' legs."
- "You're kidding."
- "nope. and boy, she gets MAD when the one she likes loses."
- "...oh, and speaking of moms... one day when i get older, i really wanna marry a nice girl, preferably uhh... a little pudgy... and have a daughter with her. i see parents with their kids and just imagine holding her, having teaparties or, if she wanted, play with some action figures or cars or whatever she wanted, help her with her homework, have "the talk" with her, help her pick out clothes, brush her hair, support her in whatever it is she decides to do in life, be that sensitive, gentle shoulder to cry on when she needs it... pretty much just being a dad she can turn to if she feels like it."
- "..."
- "What'd I tell you, [name]? Boys can be gentle and sensitive, and girls can be gross and rough. It depends on the _person_, not whether they're a boy or a girl."
- "I... I thought... I thought all boys were the same..."
- "it's okay. here."
- *hugs*
- "...!"
- "do you understand, now?"
- "I...I just... All those boys at school who teased me for not being like them, and wouldn't let me into their groups, and thought they were better than me... I just thought... I thought the answer was to act just like them... that that's how the world worked... I should never have stooped to their level of thinking..."
- "C'mon, [name]. Let's open the club for _everyone_; the only rule being to treat everyone equally."
- "I... that's what I expected when I first went to school... and then things went so wrong... I'm sorry..."
- "hey, don't worry about it. if i educated someone and helped to open their eyes to a greater meaning in the world, then i'd say my existence hasn't been a _total_ waste. *wink*"
- "but uh... sorry about those kids. really, don't pay any attention to them. you don't need that kind of meanness in your life, especially while you're still growing up. you'll find the right friends who accept you for you. just keep looking."
- "What's... your name...?"
- "oh, my name's sans. comic sans console gaster."
- "Gaster...? Like that famous scientist?"
- "yeah! you know my dad?"
- "I... he was a substitute teacher in my science class a few weeks ago... He was so nice and... really explained things in a way I could understand it... I'm so bad at science, but with him teaching, I really felt like I could learn it..."
- "You even looked up to him, even though he was a man, right?"
- "Yeah, I... I don't understand..."
- "well, my dad's pretty great. also WHAT i didn't know he was a teacher! he totally didn't tell me that. no wonder he's so good at helping me with my homework, hah!"
- "I'm sorry for being so mean to you. I see now that boys aren't all bad."
- "eh, it happens. traumatic events can often shift our views on stuff."
- "Can we... be friends...? I understand if you don't want to..."
- "dude. i love making friends. i think you should have one nice guy friend and me have more gal friends."
