- === 1. Separate Scholar & Summoner Attribute Points ===
- Since Scholar is a healing class born from a DPS, it's probably wisest to invest in Intelligence to use Summoner since Scholar doesn't exactly deal a lot of damage in actual combat outside of their DoTs. This is because they're a healer, not a DPS, and Eos & Selene can't hit hard by any means.
- This then comes to an issue - you're sacrificing healing potency for Summoner damage, or vice versa. It's not as big of an issue once you hit 45-60, however 30-45 is a massive hit to your healing power. All the points invested between 1-44 going into Intelligence, or even going 50/50 between Int and Mind, causes your healing to become relatively terrible. The only benefit Scholar has to shared attributes? Their DoTs hit a bit harder, I guess?
- Basically, separating the attributes of Scholar and Summoner would greatly improve Scholar's mid-game gameplay, making it easier to balance being the healer you're meant to be in dungeons, trials, etc. without sacrificing your damage as a Summoner for general fielding and questing.
- === 2. Switch Cure for Medica in the Cross-Classing Menu ===
- While Scholar DOES get two decent AoE healing spells, there's a huge issue with them:
- 1. Succor heals extremely little, making the following Galvanize nearly useless, because the actual health healed makes for a weaker shield.
- 2. Indomitability is not learned until Level 52 and requires Aetherflow.
- This makes it extremely difficult to manage full-party health without to some extent relying on another healer, even more-so when you're the only healer of the group. And with the Duty Finder's leveling roulette, that puts you at a severe disadvantage in duties that sync you below your only powerful AoE heal.
- The way to make it a bit easier is to allow Scholar to have access to Medica, rather than giving them access to Cure... When they learn Physick at level 4. A whopping 2 levels after Conjurer learns Cure. And conjurer is a pre-requisite for Scholar anyways, making Cure a useless and redundant cross-class action for them anyways. They have the same mana cost, same cast time, same potency, everything. Just a different animation.
- Giving Scholar access to Medica gives them a decent AoE heal that can be used in lower-level duties, as well as giving them a decent AoE heal in general without having to spam Succor in the case of a health emergency.
- Alternatively - buff the healing of Succor. Adloquium has a potency of 300 and provides a barrier that nullifies damage that's less than the amount Adloquium heals. Succor, on the other hand, has a meager potency of 150.
- Cure/Physick have a potency of 400.
- Adloquium has a potency of 300.
- Medica has a potency of 300.
- Succor has a potency of 150.
- That's a major problem, in my opinion. At the very least, a buff for Succor to raise it up to 200 Potency would be fantastic, and it would put some actual meat in the following Galvanize, rather than making a shield that only protects from monsters 20+ levels below you.
- === 3. Let Scholar Cross-Class Esuna ===
- Not a dire necessity, but it'd be extremely convenient for us. It'd grant us access to a status-healer before level 40, which could help make the difference between life or death in certain dungeons. (Like when your entire party decides it'll be fun to play in the poisonous puke in Brayflox)
- Again, not exactly necessary, but it could prove useful for dungeons where your level is synced to be below level 40.
