Mike Fallon, the Accident Man, is a stone cold killer whose methodical hits baffle the police and delight his clients. He is the best at what he does. But when a loved one is dragged into the London underworld and murdered by his own crew, Fallon is forced to rip apart the life he knew in order to hold those accountable and avenge the one person who actually meant something to him.
In the bonus segment of the DVD of &quot;Accident Man,&quot; the film&#39;s director, Jesse V. Johnson, described his film as &quot;&#39;The Office&#39; with violence.&quot; As the behind-the-scenes track rolled, one of the cast members described her experience in working on the film as &quot;having a blast.&quot;<br/><br/>But the director and performers may not have recognized just how unpleasant this film was to the viewers. Johnson described his concept of the lead character Mike Fallon as follows: &quot;I didn&#39;t wanna lighten him up; I wanted to keep it very dark.&quot; But at some point, the brakes should have been applied to the fight sequences and death scenes. <br/><br/>The character of Fallon was based on a comic strip character. But there was nothing that required Johnson to make the character as dark as he was portrayed in the film. As it turned out, the director got exactly what he intended: a gloomy, depressing, and one-note action picture. This would have been a better film if it were &quot;lightened up&quot; a little.<br/><br/>There was good potential in the film to humanize Fallon&#39;s character more completely, especially in the portrayal of his love for his ex-girlfriend Beth. But it was difficult to see a sensitive side of Fallon when characters like Charlie are consistently telling him what an awful person he is. <br/><br/>&quot;Accident Man&quot; is typical of so many British thrillers that go overboard on the violence at the expense of character development. There were some talented performers with skills in martial arts and fight choreography. But the ultimate effect of the film was unwholesome and nasty.
Mike Fallon (Scott Adkins) is a paid assassin who specializes in making killings look like accidents. He is part of a group of assassins who all have their own way of killing people. The film also has a flashback that shows Mike&#39;s training by Big Ray (Ray Stevenson). When a killing hits close to home for Mike, he breaks two cardinal rules by getting angry and involved. <br/><br/>This has all the bells and whistles of a good action film including the expected fight between Scott Adkins and Michael Jai White. The film used 10 body double stunt people for people who typically do stunts, go figure. The ending allows for a sequel and had a little joke with with Adkins Bandages.
