- The Archon arrived to the remote place, away from Aetherius. Perhaps it was the time that he would finally grasp the mastery of the art he was pursuing for so long.
- But for that, he had to remember and reflect upon everything he learned so far. Only by reflecting what he already studied, one could truly improve - or at least that much was what Zaruma believed in. Gladly for him, it seemed to work out until now.
- The night was still young. He looked up at the sky, only to see the countless stars. For one reason or another, seeing this beauty of nature gave him inspiration- but he could not be distracted for long.
- Shifting his gaze infront of himself, Zaruma focused his mana to bend the winds around him, all to create the familiar shroud that he was using for quite a while by now; the friction, as always became null, and atmospheric resistance would be gone as well, as soon as the shroud was expanded to all sides and the temporary vacuums began to appear all over.
- If it weren't for them, he'd be losing much speed in the process, after all.
- There was one more thing to do - to truly embrace the wind, perhaps for the last time before he finally masters this technique. His skin was turning transparent, leaving naught but a silhouette with every tiniest movement he makes.
- He was ready.
- (Zaruma)
- Zaruma did not waste any more time.
- His form levitated upwards, aiming to launch itself from the current position with a powerful push of wind; a sudden thrust that launched him ahead, and considering that there was no resistance in the air at every inch he moved, his motion was only further accelerated, up until he was too fast to even keep the track of.
- To possible onlookers, it was a shadow of -something- that moved around. There was no visible form of Archon, nothing but a strong wind that caressed the leaves on the trees.
- 'Keep accelerating yourself...'
- A thought crossed his mind, and the Archon pushed to have the winds force him to move even faster. There was no hesitation in him, no second thought that he could possibly crash now. His mastery of such technique has grown enough by now.
- 'Maintain the nullification of friction and atmospheric resistance.'
- Much like the constantly manipulated, constantly movingshroud, the winds shifted around him like a capsule that protected Archon from outside influence.
- He was going good. The speed was reaching previously unseen measures, and at this point, it was slowly becoming a breakthrough.
- Perhaps that would be it.
- (Zaruma)
- But with such speed, despite his mastery, there was certainly a danger.
- One to lose control and either overload himself, and end up crashing after all. Zaruma was accelerating himself steadily, all to ensure that he knows how to push his boundaries properly, and a constant thought travelled his mind.
- 'Control your movement with pushes and pulls.'
- It was hard to turn anywhere at this speed, true, but that's why he had his mastery of the wind, is it not?
- At every possible turn, a push or pull of the wind has prompted him to move to either side, developing Zaruma's control over the movement and direction. One cannot hold such power, least they learn how to command it to their will.
- 'Ensure that the temporary vacuums persist.'
- Yet another reminder travelled his mind, and the air all around Zaruma was drawn in to the Tempest, their life sucked out - all to feed their energy to Archon and create the zone of no resistance to his movement.
- With such conditions, Zaruma was moving faster than he could ever anticipate; becoming almost entirely invisible at this point, he left nothing but the traces of afterimage behind himself.
- The true breakthrough was almost here. He needed just one final push.
- (Zaruma)
- With such speed achieved, there was naught but a final step to do - to truly defy the correspondence, and break the physical restriction of one's travel within confined laws of space. Not to merely teleport once, no, but to shift oneself through the space of environment with little to no effort.
- That was the end goal of it all. Zaruma knew that such step was coming close; his heart of Occult was drumming and beating faster at the idea of at last achieve such goal, and with anticipated excitement, a final thought travelled his mind.
- 'Embrace the wind. Become the Tempest.'
- With his circuits going in overdrive at the constant sustenance of several conditions that helped him get this far, one final push of wind thrusters was made, and the Archon made an effort to submerge himself into his element.
- Much like certain magi are able to become the embodiment of their element, so did Zaruma by achieving such speed and constantly shaping his mana circuits to deal with this task. At last, his transformed physique jolted and flashed across the entire forest, teleporting from one spot to another.
- Wherever there was air or wind, Zaruma could appear there too. The dreamed omnipotence at short range was finally achieved.
- He could almost feel something odd happening to him; with this breakthrough, he looked back, if only to see several images of himself travelling back in the distance. The Archon has broken his limits of speed, and created several copies of himself via afterimage.
- At last, it was done.
- (Zaruma)
