  1. For over 50 years, the IHOP family restaurant chain has served our world famous pancakes and a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items that are loved by people of all ages — offering an affordable, everyday dining experience with warm and friendly service. Our goal is to exceed our guests’ expectations by delivering excellent food and the best service in the family dining category.
  2.
  3. Nearly all IHOP restaurants are owned and operated by franchisees of the brand. You are making application to Southern Restaurant Management/TUJO, a high performing franchisee of IHOP currently operating eleven restaurants in North Georgia and the greater Atlanta area. Our mission is to operate a profitable, service driven company that delights our guests by serving great food in a wholesome environment. Our vision is to operate the best performing restaurants within IHOP. We hold ourselves to key values and principles, which include:
  4.
  5. Employee Commitment: We treat employees with respect and invest in the training, coaching and feedback necessary for their job success and future career.
  6. Service Promise: We focus on service excellence in all that we do.
  7. Do the Right Thing: We operate our business with honesty and integrity.
  8. Passion for Being the Best: We have high standards and strive to be the best.
  9. Accountability: We all are responsible for the results we produce.
  10.
  11. Our team members are the key to providing excellent food and service to our guests. This starts with the appearance and personal hygiene of our employees. Our expectation of you is that you come to work on time, in uniform, looking neat and clean and ready to work. Your uniform must be clean and pressed and fit properly, your hands and nails must be clean, and you must wear a nametag and shoes that comply with our policies. Your hair must comply with IHOP and Health Department Standards – and overall, we expect employees to be conservative with respect to hairstyles, makeup, colognes and perfumes, etc.
  12.
  13. Employees are expected to exercise courtesy and friendliness when dealing with customers and other team members. Employees are required to be polite and sincere with all customers. Obscene language, or any inappropriate behavior, will not be tolerated.
  14.
  15. Working at IHOP requires employees to be comfortable working in a team oriented environment. Whether you are a Cook, a Server, a Host/Hostess, or Service Assistant, you must work as a team member – always willing to help another team member in any way. Also, there are a number of specific position related performance goals you will be required to meet. These include things such as service times, plate presentation, guest feedback goals, portion accuracy, beverage sales goals, compliance with health department rules, etc. Servers are responsible for leading the personal aspect of the guest experience at the table. They are assigned their own station, but are also partnered with one or more other servers for support.
  16.
  17. Employees are required to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation in and around the restaurant. All employees must help in keeping the restaurant clean and sanitary throughout. This includes walls, floors, doors, restrooms, seating, tables, equipment, fixtures, etc.
  18.
  19. Guests trust us to provide food that is safe and sanitary. Therefore, hand washing is a very critical aspect of ensuring that the food we serve is safe for our guests. You are required to wash your hands after: using the restroom; touching or scratching any area of the body such as ears, mouth, nose, hair; contact with infected or otherwise unsanitary areas of the body; using a handkerchief or tissue; contact with unclean equipment, work surfaces, soiled clothing, etc.; handling raw food, particularly meat and poultry; between glove changes; handling money; smoking a cigarette; or eating or drinking
