  1. Edrei: Heavy huffs could be heard from the onyx creature. The sound of paws rapidly padding against crushed branches upon the ground. Glimpses of emerald irises shined against the moon above. On this particular full moon night, the air was still except for the beast. The lone hunter was not aware of what lay ahead while it prowled in search of prey. In one of the trees, he sat, body covered in cloth and leather to contain his scent from spreading. "Just a bit more.." did he whisper underneath a belated breath. When the beast approached the designated location, the glint of a blade soared through the air before making its mark. A rope that had now been cut by the knife released a trap overhead. The target was caught, a sickening howl shortly followed. The creature thrashed at the bars of the cage in an attempt to escape. The man who released the trap, now slid down the tree with a blade drawn. New figures sprouted from hidden leaf covered trap-doors now revealed by the sharp moonlight. "And that gentlemen, is how you trap yourselves a werewolf." He bowed to the applause, many of the guards cheered till the beast slammed itself against the side of the cage. "Do not worry, gentlemen. As you all know, silver can be used against them. Those bars are made of steel and silver. He will not be getting out." he stated with almost a hint of admiration. A part of him respects the beast as a hunter must know the mind of their prey. They are not simply savages to him.The scent of honeysuckle could be smelt for miles. Snow fur along the lean creature. Prowling towards the commotion, the creature canting its mow in the right direction at the discovery before her. Her frozen ocean irises stared at the hunters that had captured the other wolf just moments before. What were they doing with the other wolf? Was it one of her kind? Were they wishing to put wolves on display? Teach other hunters how to toy with them? What was this human's motive? Only time might tell. Snarling underneath her breath, and crouching down so she might blend in with her surroundings; she shook her bulbous skull. When she heard all the talk about how they had been catching lycans for years, it saddened the she-wolf. That was the sad truth about our species. We were always on the run to keep safe from hunters like him and his men. Watching the onyx furred creature, sitting with it’s muzzle in the air, looking as if it was going to howl. With a furrow of his brow and gritted teeth, the hunter went towards the cage to slam it aggressively with his large bear-like hands. The echoes of the metal sounded like a rippling strike of thunder. Having the fear of thunder, naturally it made her flinch in response. His words spat out like venom from a viper. “Don't you dare howl!" The man screamed. It was obvious that he was heated and someone to mess with. She kept her distance from the mortals and the other wolf, at least till it was time for her line of attack. Using her telepathy to speak to the other wolf, "Hold on, I'll get you out of there." Her voice is soft and reassuring. The she-wolf began to crawl closer but kept towards the darkness. Trying her hardest to not be caught. Locking her gaze with the other’s light emerald ones, she felt a faint familiarity towards it. Once hearing the wolf was being sold for two bags of gold, the young wolf’s skin began to boil with rage. Though when the other wolf paced around, the realization finally came to mind of how it seemed familiar and it’s irises widened with shock. "Shadow!" Edrei called out. Soon realizing she spoke out, though it was still only through telepathy between her and the other, it brought her ease. This was going to be tricky getting past everyone to gather her friend. Hell what did she get herself into? After a few moments, Edrei had to get him out of there and fast. Shadow perked up his ears at the shouting within his head due to the connection. "Red, get out of here! It’s not safe, go, run now!" Taking a risk, she began running towards him, to humans it would seem like barking at each other but to the wolves, it would be totally different. The fear filled her voice and her dementor. "No I'm not leaving you. I can't lose you, not again." Though panic struck her when she realized she may be next when the crowd saw her. With a quickness, the younger wolf turned and tried to shield her friend against the cage. Knowing she would get the brute force of a hunter's foot against her gut. Sure enough as if expected, she was kicked with a steel toed boot against her stomach causing her to fly a few feet forward onto her back. Watching the men surround the cage as she laid on her back. Her vision was growing flurry but the connection was still strong between the two of them. "No!" Shadowed fiercely screamed. Slamming it's form against the cage with all it's might, but to no avail, with ease the strong men lifted the cage. The hunter that had slammed the cage earlier and kicked her was six foot. Muscularly fit, mid-length chocolate strands and piercing copper eyes. A chiseled face almost like it had been sculpted. A deadly smirk rose across his figure as he looked at her with a firm gaze. "Nice try little wolf." Growling as she turned back onto her feet, her ocean irises began to tear up even though anger fueled her very core. She watched them haul him away knowing that if she followed it would be writing her death sentence. "SHADOW!" She mightily roared.

  3. Screaming into the air, as she jolted upwards and opened her irises. Panting heavily, the woman tried to control her breathing from the fright. Alas the she-wolf soon sighed in relief that it was only a dream. The distant memory of never seeing Shadow ever again. She knew that after he had been sold, that he had been endlessly tormented. How she knew; he sent her letters about it and after a little while, she visited after spending years tracking him down. Only to find him hung up by a banister and his internals out on the surface. She knew it was also the doing of her uncle, he always hated that she was a lycan and he couldn’t use her in his army. Oh no, she was too powerful then the other recruits. Looking down for a moment to see she was in the middle of nowhere. Resting her head in her rough hands, she shook her head trying to let the memory fade from her memory. "It's only a dream, Edrei.... Shadow died a long time ago.... He is no more..." Taking only a step, she fell down from the tree and onto her rear. Yipping to herself and rubbing her butt of the grass along with the tenderness she felt. Sighing to herself once more before shaking her form. Upon her flesh was a ripped tank top that was turned into a crop top, crimson life scattered along her skin. It was due to all the fight with hunters but she hadn't seen them for miles. Not since two states ago. Shorts that went to mid-thigh but covered her ass fully. Fiery crimson strands laid against her shoulders but shortly were tied into a ponytail. Not having any shoes as she saw no need for them; she would have to see if there was shelter nearby. One with food and nice people. Oh, man, a nice warm shower would have been nice for her. Letting her honeysuckle scent flare around, she would lift her nose to take in any other scents around, if there were any. Catching two, Edrei's head canted to the right. "Let the journey begin then." She'd whisper to herself and head in the direction of the scents.
