  1. After arriving at Wra's residence, the being moved to a more open area. His hand was extended upwards and a rift.. Much larger than the last, was opened.. From where, a blackened obelisk, made from tyrium and adamantite, besides holding runes made clearly by witchcraft - descended.
  2.
  3. This structure emanated demonic mana, very.. similar to that of Sak'noth.
  4.
  5. "The completion of the obelisk, the structure is ready - the runes alike, as well as additions, now... We will infuse it with essence and power, occultic.
  6.
  7. I want you to do some chanting, mori related ones, while both me and Varrach will infuse this structure." With that said, the great Kaor was already starting to do his part.
  8.
  9. His mana was accumulated, in a clear ritual initiation. And it was expected that the others would act in equality. Since it was clear that he wanted to complete this as soon as possible, they had already put this aside for a long time.
  10.
  11. It was time to act, it was time to finish some of his projects.
  12. (Sak'noth)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [18:01] Ah.
  16.
  17. The infusion with one's Occultic power. It is something that Varrach could do easily enough- considering the power of the Great Wolf and everything that they've possessed, this would be something that Varrach ought to handle just fine.
  18.
  19. Time would tell how exactly that would go.
  20.
  21. But for now, Varrach takes their time to assess the object first, to see what it would be exactly and how to work with it- though Sak'noth begins the instructions, the Great Wolf turns their head towards them, if only to remark.
  22.
  23. "Very well."
  24.
  25. "Do we get started now?"
  26.
  27. The assumption here is that the two of them would have to do such infusion in conjunction, at the same time- to ensure that the flow of such energy would remain stable and without a flaw.
  28.
  29. Lest something can go terribly wrong.
  30. (Varrach)
  31. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  32.
  33. [18:06] Tendrils wither, Sak'noth's wings extend, and a portal is torn through the life-stream itself.
  34.
  35. As the party descends through the portal and enters Wra'gul's adobe, they soon make themselves at home.
  36.
  37. Another gateway has been shattered.
  38.
  39. An obelisk emerged from the doorway, this time much bigger, and took up the majority of Wra'gul's living room.
  40.
  41. The instructions are straightforward, and he was able to perform the Mori Siren chants.
  42.
  43. "Very good... Do you have any specific chants you'd like me to perform? Do you want me to tap into its power?"
  44.
  45. The Deep One was known to do many enigmatic things and to have limitless ability.
  46. (Wra'gul)
  47. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  48.
  49. [18:17] A nod of its head was given in Varrach's direction, before the Great Avian began to channel its mana! It snaked around his frame, before slowly making its way towards his hands.
  50.
  51. Which both were extended forward towards the Obelisk! And at the tip of his palms, the putrid ether emanated..
  52.
  53. "Ones that attracts lesser creatures, corrupts the mind, and distorts the actions of mortals - this obelisk will attract demons and corrupt anything near it.
  54.
  55. It will be my... touch, to cause a diversion when we march to attack enemy cities." With that explained, he then focused on his task..
  56.
  57. Which, was simple, just like the others - Varrach would have to accompany him, while Wra did the spells! It was the completion of a project and they were having the easiest part, as expected.
  58.
  59. "I will use this in the future in conjunction with something I mentioned to Varrach.. To cause great turmoil." Now with that said, he continued to build up energy.
  60.
  61. Which formed a sphere at this point, one of destructive energy.. Which would give what they needed, the power to attract.. A small demonic horde, one they could use to distract enemy troops and then deal with one city at a time..
  62.
  63. At least, one time before the obelisk is destroyed.
  64. (Sak'noth)
  65. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  66.
  67. [18:28] A great construction for them to do.
  68.
  69. Something that would defy not only the fate of Meranthe as it is, but something that could shift the favor to their side altogether- it would be a grand creation that requires them all to contribute to this, and to ensure that they would all be apart of it.
  70.
  71. All to ensure that it becomes truly as great as they have envisioned.
  72.
  73. "It is a good plan."
  74.
  75. "We'll need that Obelisk for the future plans as well in that case." Something to provide diversion for them all, and perhaps ensure that they could become an even greater threat.
  76.
  77. Though..
  78.
  79. It is here as they begin, Varrach begins to channel their own mana- rather potent and at times even seemingly overwhelming, enough to sense the changes ripple through it rather easily; without any further delay, the Great Wolf joins in conjunction to create this powerful construction, to set up the necessary groundwork.
  80.
  81. "Abendrot may have been destroyed."
  82.
  83. "But it is not quite over. Not yet."
  84.
  85. No. There's still much that they can do, much that they can accomplish- and to make it surface this way, it would be a grand contribution.
  86. (Varrach)
  87. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  88.
  89. [18:31] A simple nod.
  90.
  91. His portion of the function is simple, but as Sak'noth starts to speculate on the Obelisk and what it will do, the Siren's eyes widened.
  92.
  93. It was the first time he'd heard of such a device, and it was ingenious. "What a brilliant invention. I'm confident it will pay off." That was all the Siren could say.
  94.
  95. As the chamber grew colder, his palms began to shimmer with pink and purple mana, an increase in the fel-arts.
  96.
  97. His left foot seemed to move on its own, like an appendage wriggling... How he despised the Tomb and what was left of him because of it.
  98.
  99. The void began to consume the chamber as dark accursed blood started to spew beneath his feet.
  100.
  101. "Abyssus venimus hodie in nomine tuo ad gratiam colligendam. Ubi quis sentitur perditus ac desperatus, vim et moderationem petimus. Hostes nostros compedibus ligare, et pares in futurum. Multum amissum est, sed multum obtinendum.Beneficiis tuis et tuearis nos, tuo sanguine nos uncturus, non est defectus. Benedic nos in virtute tua et fac abyssum et consume al."
  102.
  103. Chanting the tongue of The Deep One.
  104.
  105. His hands fall back to his sides, and he pant slightly.
  106.
  107. "This is not the end... I guarantee that this is only the beginning of our triumph."
  108. (Wra'gul)
  109. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  110.
  111. [18:40] "Once this structure was meant for defense, of our lair, but now.. We will attack using it..
  112.
  113. It is the only way forward." So he continued, with the help of his kin - the one who would reach a new stage very soon.
  114.
  115. He advanced forward.
  116.
  117. Sak'noth stopped for a while in the past, however much he acted - it was more to help others than himself! It was time to think about himself and his goals, to reach his due rise, he would not be left behind.
  118.
  119. No, not anymore.
  120.
  121. He would not allow others to surpass him so that he could not achieve his goals. No, he would drink from the world's mana source, directly from the lifestream.
  122.
  123. And with that, end the flow of magic in that world.
  124.
  125. Nothing will be able to stop him from achieving this.
  126.
  127. Now, as the chanting began, the being's hand moved forward - a signal for Varrach to do the same.. And at that, the mana of the GreatAvian would begin to imbue that obelisk! Almost like water that enveloped this one, filling it with the demonic miasma needed for what they sought.
  128.
  129. As expected.
  130.
  131. "The fall of Abendrot was the beginning of a change, Meranthe shall burn under the march of our horde, the demonic catastrophe shall spread and the world change - before our hands.
  132.
  133. The fate is decided, nothing can change it now." With such firm, weight-bearing words - he went on.
  134.
  135. Non-stop, no blinking.. Not until this obelisk was ready.
  136. (Sak'noth)
  137. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  138.
  139. [18:48] The only way forward.
  140.
  141. It is truly something they would need in order to advance forth, something that would have to be required for them in order to proceed- without it, they may as well be completely lost, and that way they would be simply unable to actually accomplish anything.
  142.
  143. Fall short all too soon.
  144.
  145. Still, all the same, as the signal is given - Varrach complies with it, moving forth to do the same as well; all to infuse the mana into the construction, to imbue it as well and feed it their own energy, for a grand creation yet to come.
  146.
  147. "There's still much change to come."
  148.
  149. "And most would not anticipate it, I believe. Meranthe seems to have been lulled- into a sense of safety, one where they're convinced that nothing could possibly threaten them."
  150.
  151. "But they are wrong."
  152.
  153. Oh, so very wrong.
  154.
  155. For there is manifestation of that threat right before them, right this moment- in every momentof their makin, in every moment that they spend towards trying to shape it into something greater.
  156.
  157. To turn it into the next calamity for Meranthe.
  158. (Varrach)
  159. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  160.
  161. [18:53] Did they have a chance to stop? Was there really nothing else they could do?
  162.
  163. No...
  164.
  165. Fighting was the only way they could flourish in the future, not only bodily but also psychologically.
  166.
  167. However, there was still room for all of them to develop, and the fall of Abendrot was merely the start of something new.
  168.
  169. Something more suitable.
  170.
  171. "I'm confident Meranthe will quiver in fear when the time comes; they think they've triumphed, but all they've done is enabled our influence to spread across the entire nation.
  172.
  173. Abendrot is no longer a prisoner.
  174.
  175. We'll reign over all of Meranthe, capturing cities one at a time. They'll comprehend what we've been through and beg for an early demise."
  176.
  177. His remarks were delivered firmly and coldly, a small frost emanating from the Siren.
  178.
  179. His feelings seemed to be getting the better of him...
  180.
  181. In any case, with peril looming around everycorner, who could blame him?
  182. (Wra'gul)
  183. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  184.
  185. [19:00] With the energy coming from both of them and the chantings concluded, the obelisk was finally imbued! This one, filled with a demonic aura and even the runes from before, now gave a putrid feeling to those who saw them.
  186.
  187. It was.. terrible, yet good at the same time, at least for the demons.
  188.
  189. This one pulsated, this one.. It made its origin clear as expected, there was no way to hide it! And due to Varrach and Sak'noth's influence, that seemed to be entirely..
  190.
  191. Another Kaor.
  192.
  193. "It is finished..
  194.
  195. The Obelisk is ready." He said while the others made addendums regarding the situation, regarding what happened and what would happen in the future, "With this we mark the beginning of the end, now, we will be able to focus our efforts on the next work we will do - the creation, making..
  196.
  197. Of the Cataclysmic Shard.
  198.
  199. The one who will turn Vdalion to nothing but ash, so that we have one less threat to deal with, one less force to threaten, stand in front of our goals." And with that, he extended his hand forward.
  200.
  201. A rift appeared and swallowed the obelisk, guarding it for the time being, in another place.
  202.
  203. "Great job both of you." It was what he would say to actually conclude that final stage of the project.
  204. (Sak'noth)
  205. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  206.
  207. [19:06] 'Cataclysmic Shard'
  208.
  209. The title of the next undertaking on which they would be engaged. The term itself elicited a furious stare from him.
  210.
  211. The one who will reduce Vdalion's mountains to flames and debris.
  212.
  213. A simple nod.
  214.
  215. "Hmph... That is, if I don't murder the monarch first. He wields new levels of power, which has taken me totally by surprise.
  216.
  217. He can command his flames to materialize everlasting flame wings, rising from the remains like a phoenix.
  218.
  219. It was a fight I'll remember for the rest of my life."
  220.
  221. His hand formed a clench... He was so near yet so far from beating him.
  222.
  223. A gateway appeared once more, consuming the Obelisk. "I'm delighted to assist."
  224. (Wra'gul)
  225. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  226.
  227. [19:07] At last.
  228.
  229. This would be the necessary push for them to become something greater- to extend beyond and ensure that they would remain a threat upon the continent, to ensure that they could truly contend with what's to come. Of course, that doesn't come without a price.
  230.
  231. For there must be the effort paid,
  232. their strength and time.
  233.
  234. Else it would be all for naught. Through this, they can become exalted, truly the masters of Meranthe's fate- truly something that could shape the future as it is meant to be.
  235.
  236. Terrible,
  237. and dark.
  238.
  239. "Good."
  240.
  241. The Great Wolf remarks, assessing their creation once more- for while there was still a small lack of knowledge as to how this would work exactly, Varrach could put trust in Sak'noth to ensure that this would be done well.
  242.
  243. To ensure that this would be great for them all.
  244.
  245. "We'll see it through. In time, nothing will remain of them." All in due time.
  246.
  247. "And I'm pleased to assist."
  248. (Varrach)
  249. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
