-PERSONALITY. Hyunmi is a very cheerful girl and likes to see others smile. She doesn't usually get sad and she controls her temper quite well. She is the type to be very quiet when she's angry so she doesn't accidentally say something offensive. She is also a very clumsy girl and is often found being very confused at things like directions or instructions. She trips and falls quite often which is the cause of the scars on her legs which is what makes her insecure.

-BACKGROUND. Hyunmi was born in Osaka and grew up speaking Japanese and Korean. She learnt basic English from her best friend who's from America but transferred over to her school in Japan. She was born in a family of four, consisting of her mother, father, and an older brother named Jeon Minhyun. She was an average student. Average grades and an average amount of friends, she's not too popular but she isn't a loner either. There was once she scored straight As and she started to grow complacent. She didn't feel the need to study for tests anymore, thinking that she'll maintain her grades. But of course, she didn't and her grades dropped. It was a lesson to her and from that, she grew to become more hardworking and diligent in whatever she does. She started singing at a very young age and that was when her family discovered her talent and sent her for many competitions which she won most of. Then at the age of 14 she realised that she loved music so much and she was willing to make a living out of it but was quite insecure about herself. So after much support from her family and friends, she auditioned for many companies and fortunately was accepted by YG entertainment. Her brother on the other hand also auditioned for numerous companies to be a composer and was accepted by SM entertainment.

-HOW DID SHE JOINED YG. Hyunmi has always been interested in music and has been singing since she could talk. She also enjoyed dancing and was very interested in becoming a kpop idol but was quite insecure about herself. After much support from her family, she decided to go for it and auditioned for many companies. She didn't expect to be accepted by any of them but she did! She was accepted by YG entertainment and that was when she started her training.

-STAGE PERSONA. Hyunmi is very charismatic on stage and she enjoys performing very much. She is always seen smiling (unless it is for different concept) and she makes sure to give it her best shot. Even though she falls often when she isn't on stage, she manages to nail moves without stumbling or falling. But after all, she is still the clumsy Hyunmi so there are times she messes up the choreography but she remains calm and continues dancing.
