**What happens when you translate:**
1. You click the "Translate" button on a post
2. The post text is sent to Google Translate API
3. The translation is displayed to you
4. No data is stored or logged

This extension uses **Google Translate** API for translations:
- Only the text you choose to translate is sent to Google
- Google's privacy policy applies to their service
- We have no control over Google's data handling

## Permissions

The extension requests these permissions:
- `storage`: To save your language preference locally
- `host_permissions` for bsky.app: To add translate buttons to posts
- `host_permissions` for translate.googleapis.com: To fetch translations

## Data Storage

- Language preference is stored locally in your browser
- No data is sent to external servers (except Google Translate for translations)
