[b]Why do you want to play as the alien species?[/b]
Generally when Roleplaying in any fantasy or Sci-fi setting, I find myself particularly disinterested in playing a human due to it feeling like something of a restriction on the escapism that RP is so great for. I read through the races and the Unathi seemed like something that I'd enjoy. I always like playing any race that is particularly driven by honor or esoteric belief structures such as dwarves commonly fit in a fantasy setting which the Unathi seem to perfectly fit for. Religion and thereby also philosophy is also something I like to explore in my writings and RP but it can be difficult in sci-fi settings in my experience to justify religious practice without coming across as odd. Playing a race where most of the whole culture is steeped in mysticism is something I really enjoy and would love to dip my toes into if given the opportunity. Furthermore, I also love exploring long-lived races' worldview on life in general.

[b]Summarize what you know about the species.[/b]
The Unathi are seemingly fairly industrious people considering the difficult lives many of them find themselves in. If it's not the elements of their irradiated world that makes things difficult, then it's the vicious nature of their polar super-metropoli. They could perhaps come across as backwards to most humans they interact with due to the aforementioned mysticism and treatment of the female sex, yet interestingly they still maintain a positive relationship with humans. According to wiki, they also seem to have very standoffish, polite culture when dealing with strangers though can be particularly close and loyal to those that they trust, particularly in that they are monogamous. Though the monogamy could just as easily be described as not wanting a claimed mate.

Kavan folds his arms into one another as he squats atop the rusted tower on the north pole of Moghes, his scales making a gentle scraping  sound as they run against one another. Though the skies above his homeworld had been darkened and dusty from the winds rolling in off the plains and oceans kicking up dust high into the atmosphere, he could see the stars clearly tonight. The tower's height raised him high above the smog and dust of the city below. He watched the stars twinkling above, recounting the various constellations that he and his pack-mates had named in the later years of their childhood. The easiest and brightest was a simple line of stars, something befitting a simple youngling's imagination. This was of course represented the duneworms which he and his friends knew to fear and avoid. Another looked like an Ogash. This was something of a spirit the young ones revered for protection from the dangers they faced out on the desert.

The young Unathi's mandibles flexed into an uncanny, serpentine grin, his tongue flicking to taste the relatively cool polar air. "I wonder what new constellations I'll find," he pondered. He stood, rolling his shoulders and popping his back before making his way for the lift to the city streets below, bound for the starport. When he returned to this world, if he ever did, he'll have done so with a name all his own and made all the mightier by the Grand Stratagem.
