- One day, I hope to get an official explanation for Tetris Attack over Pokemon Puzzle League. Every opinion I have heard on the matter is at odds with this decision. For instance, there hasn't been much that has surprised Spikevegeta so far in this process, but this is the one "upset" I think he would quote if he had to pick one.
- I feel like the criticism is that Pokemon Puzzle League is too long and inconsistent over the alternative. Too long and inconsistent can also be said about Winnie the Pooh's Home Run Derby, yet that is getting a second look--perhaps the committee wants to pull an Adrian and "do it for the meme." It's so WTF that I tried to start a drinking game for every time Spike mentions "Pooh" on his prediction shows.
- I don't think speaking for everyone is a stretch here, but it should be clear to everyone which of the two Panel de Pon games is the better watch. My viewer statistics can prove it. There's an audience for Puzzle League that doesn't come to my Tetris Attack streams. There's an audience for Tetris Attack that doesn't come to my Puzzle League streams. The Puzzle League audience is greater in numbers and I don't think it's even close.
- Also, from a strategy perspective, Puzzle League requires more thought as to how to send your garbage than Tetris Attack. In Tetris Attack, the combo garbage falls after the chain garbage; as long as you can consistently send so many combos and a certain-size chain in a certain time, then the opponent is screwed no matter what they do or how you do it. In Puzzle League, it is imperative that you start your opening chain with a combo because that combo block falls before the chain and can confuse the opponent's AI greatly. It is also imperative to catch your opponent with as few blocks as possible so timing when you drop the garbage is also important. These are elements of the gameplay that you will not see in Tetris Attack. Puzzle League just has more depth.
- If I had the opportunity to trade Pooh and Tetris Attack for Pokemon Puzzle League in this SGDQ, I would do it in a heartbeat.
