background ; meixing was the second child, the youngest for a blissful seven years of her life. her family was rich and happy although her world came collapsing when her parents divorced. seeing the separation of her parents led the girl to think that love doesn't exist which is why it's so hard for her to let anyone in. seeing her father leave and now barely even able to reach him with the excuse that he's busy, taught meixing that if even her father can leave her life, others can easily do so as well. and because of her detached nature, she's carefree and just wants to have fun in life; no strings attached. after her parents' split, the girl started to act out more, especially when her mother decided to remarry. soon enough, her mother had enough of her imprudent daughter constantly going against her new "father" and eventually shipped her off to korea for studies, hiding her true intention under the disguise that the family would be relocating soon and would like meixing to check out seoul. her opinion on it would be a determining factor in where they live and meixing was just happy to not have to see her mother's husband around. now meixing lives in a big house with a few people to attend to her and the house in seoul but that just made her feel all the more lonely. which is why she's constantly throwing parties and allowing all types of people to hang around her home. she didn't want to feel so alone. but korea was hard when she can't even speak the damn language aside from the few basic words she learned in the kdramas. she knows conversational english since she's been watching american tv shows since she was small and drowning her ears in that language and because she was young, managed to absorb the language like a sponge. not everyone in korea spoke english though and there were even less speaking chinese. since her mother's husband is paying for all her expenses, meixing tends to go all out with the parties and although she knows that some people hang around her for the money, was honestly too lonely to push them away. they don't listen to her unless she's waving her bills but at least she's not invisible right now.

personality ; the carefree and outgoing little one by the name chen meixing, you'll never catch the girl. she has enough energy to scour through ten galaxies and still have enough energy to travel to another ten. always in it for the fun and leaves when things get complicated, meixing is up for whatever life has to offer. she doesn't like listening to people and because of her strong sense of pride, hates letting people seeing her down. a reckless and immature type, meixing says and acts however the hell she wants with no thoughts about the repercussions that it would bring. she's also very opimtistic and hopeful, never being able to see the bad in any situation. it's also because of this that she's never down or even if she was, would bounce right back seconds later. meixing is an extrovert who gets her energy through interacting with other people and loves to make new friends. she's open minded and understanding so she loves seeing new people and learning new things through those people. as long as you're not too radical about your ideas and trying to force it on her, meixing would welcome you with open arms. but only up until arm's length because meixing is very hard to get attached to. it's hard for her to let someone into her heart since she's been hurt before and honestly, she's scared of being backstabbed or betrayed again. since loyalty is one of the most important things to her, once she considers you important, she'll be your ride or die. but if you make her lose her trust in you, you'll never be able to gain it back. even if meixing is always willing to lend a helping hand, she's not a doormat. she'll never allow you to treat her like shit because her pride is as tall as the sky. it's also because of this that she finds it hard to talk about her deepest feelings unless its with someone very close. what you see isn't always what you get and in the case of the always jubilant meixing, that is exactly the case. the brightest smiles hide the most painful past.

love interest's personality ; despite his sass towards his friends, sehun is dependable and more mature than people make him out to be. extremely loyal, he's always the pillar of support for his friends and is usually the mediator if any of them got into a fight. he's filled with love, praying for his friends' well-being every night before he goes to sleep and making sure they're happy. he likes to keep the atmosphere happy and would force people to talk it out to resolve their problems. kind of ironic though, considering the fact that sehun sucks at expressing his own feelings. although he has a good heart and cares deeply for his friends, finds it hard to express his feelings. more of an actions type of guy, he'd show he cares through little actions instead.

how did you meet? ; meixing is throwing another party and everyone is invited! with the dragging of his friends and a partially curious freshmen sehun, he attends the party. he sees the sad excuse of a girl, meixing, attempting to chat with some of the people around only to be deserted seconds later. her cringeworthy broken korean really annoyed the people she was talking with and it was honestly fucking sad, how much she tried to make friends with the others only to be pushed away without being given a chance, especially with the fact that she even threw such big parties. so mr. nice guy sehun makes his way near meixing, pretending to grab a drink and sure enough, the girl jumped right into a conversation with him.

how you act around each other? ; meixing basically latches herself onto sehun and the boy doesn't seem to mind too much, even introducing meixing to his friends although it's hard for some of them to converse since not everyone could speak chinese. so they usually just leave sehun and meixing to talk to themselves. he's probably the few that she genuinely likes and there's a good chance sehun can become her best friend if not for the fact that sehun's friends won't allow it. whenever meixing asks sehun to hang out with her, his friends always come charging into the scene and pulling him away. when meixing is out of ear shot, they'd tell him to stop being with the "outsider". sometimes sehun stands up for meixing, other times he'll just ignore it. he didn't want to lose all his friends for one girl anyways. any party that meixing has though, he'll attend and he begins to look out for the girl. mostly in pity and although the girl knew and she kind of hated it, was glad to have a "friend" finally. so she usually lets sehun see her weak side and he'll feel the need to protect her and he'll does so more frequently. eventually, he'll always be sticking up for her and telling her to tag along all his hangout with his friends. with meixing learning more korean, she manages to speak better and the others would slowly start to like her. afterall, the girl was so carefree and chill that it's hard for anyone to not feel comfortable around her.

"it's great to see someone else who share the sentiments about school as me."
