<BlueMage> 6As Ina sits, a familiar face pushes past a few officers, his aptly bald head sticking out like a sore thumb in the crowd. Baldry has a few accordion files in his hands, which he is gesticulating with animatedly.

01<Ina> I was told there was an exam or something. To get registered and prove I can handle myself.
<BlueMage> "I meant why they still have you waitin' here. I don't think we've had an exam yet."6 He almost turns away to go grab someone else in the hallway to get an explanation about it.
06* Ina blinks. 1"I'm not supposed to be here? Why'd they get me to sit around then?"

<BlueMage> "Guess they're just busy snooping. As usual,"6 mutters Baldry as he thunders off to go find an MCO to deal with this. His accordion files are still on the desk, at least one of them marked with the numerals '187'.
06* Ina peers over at the files and hmmms, lifting the cover slightly on the '187' folder.
<BlueMage> 6THe paperwork covers the scene of a crime down in the manufacturing district, from what Ina can see of it. Mention is made of a large letter 'N' being spraypainted onto the victim's car, as well.
06* Ina hrmms and lets the page fall shut, waiting for Baldry to return.
<BlueMage> 6He does, after a minute, along with an inoffensive-looking man in a suit.1 "Alright, this man'll get you started on registration. If you're tryin' to sign up for the PCU, then there's additional work that'll have to be shipped out. But for now, this one will help get you squared away."
06* Ina nods and stands, extending a two fingered hand towards the new gentleman. 1"That's super"

<BlueMage> 6Tux smiles, shaking Ina's hand a little awkwardly because of its finger placement, and leads her up towards a staircase that few, if any people, are walking up and down.
06* Ina follows behind him. 1"Do many people apply for this kind of job?"
<BlueMage> "Lots of people want to, but we stress that this job isn't always...in fact is rarely as rewarding as people say it is."6 Tux leads Ina past a couple of uniformed officers and an officer in casual clothes. The officer in casual clothes may not be readily noticed, because one is invisible and one is 4on fire6.
06* Ina points at the one on fire. 1"Shouldn't someone put that guy out?"

<BlueMage> 6Tux looks back at the officer aflame, and shakes his head.1 "Not our department. He'll be fine. Moving on!"
<BlueMage> "Registration and employment with the PCU, IF your screens pass, is not to be treated the same as costumed superheroics. It is not a license to wear tights,"6 Tux explains as he walks down the hall,1 "And it is not a -toy-. Professionalism and discipline is what we expect of all our officers, because it's why this city has cut its crime rate so drastically over the past fifteen years."
06* Ina nods as she follows, arms folded. 1"Of course. I understand all that. I wouldn't be here applying if I didn't have the respect for authority, and besides... Tights look terrible on me"
<BlueMage> "Very good. Well."6Tux pushes a doorway open, and steps into an office that looks...markedly divorced in decor from the older, oak-trimmed station. All in here was a futuristic white, and there was a room-height box in one corner.
06* Ina steps into the pristine room. 1"I assume my exam is here?"
<BlueMage> "Registration. Please step over to the desk,"6 Tux says crisply as he pulls up a small box. As he opens it, he taps a button on the side of the large 'box', and a door opens on its side.
06* Ina steps over to the desk and unfolds her arms.
<BlueMage> 6After donning a pair of latex gloves, Tux takes a simple hypodermic needle from the box. "I will need a blood sample, please."
06* Ina holds out her arm, relaxing it somewhat in preparation.
<BlueMage> 6The procedure is unremarkable. Tux draws from an artery above the uncirculated elbow, and draws little more than half the vial--if that. A small sting is all Ina will remember it by, and that will be gone by the time she leaves the station.
06* Ina smiles softly, wiping the extraction point slowly. 1"Anything else you need from me?"
<BlueMage> "Please enter the booth. It will perform a full-body scan to detail what the extent of your powers are."
06* Ina nods and steps into the booth, curious on how it'll scan her.
<BlueMage> 6It is lit inside, a dull glow emanating from behind the scanner's receptor panels. Once inside adn she is positioned on the white line, a light starts up near the top, panning down Ina's body slowly.
06* Ina stands perfectly still in the chamber, breathing slowly. Her body showing a highly adaptive DNA, regenerative abilities and short range teleportation.
<BlueMage> 6This becomes apparent after the scan's conclusion, at any rate. Once it is complete, Tux tells Ina she can step out now, and reviews the information with her.
06* Ina looks it over and nods. 1"I take it that's everything you need? Or is there a little more?"
<BlueMage> "This will be about all from my end. I merely represent the Registration Authority. As far as the PCU goes, that's a branch outside my division. Feel free to enquire over the phone or set up an appointment at the Consortium Building downtown."6 Before finishing, Tux stands up to shake Ina's hand lightly.
<BlueMage> "Welcome to the ranks of the registered, Miss Ina."
06* Ina shakes Tux's hand. 1"Thankyou, you won't regret hiring me. I promise"
