  1. Jeremy Fitzgerald shuffled slightly in his office chair, adjusting his posture so he was more comfortable. It had been a quiet night, thus far, with no sign of any of his "co-workers", despite it already being three in the morning.
  2.
  3. Booting up his camera tablet again, he looked about the building. While none of the animatronics seemed to care enough to bother him thus far, he had no intention of letting his guard down. It only took a few moments to spot Freddy and Bonnie, who were standing about the main area doing... something. They were too far away and it was too dark to tell for sure.
  4.
  5. Sighing, Jeremy turned the view back over to the prize counter, and wound up the music box.
  6.
  7. From the corner of his eye, he saw a light from down the hallway. Frowning, Jeremy reached for his flashlight, shining it down into the darkness ahead of him. Despite his best efforts, though, there was nothing to be seen. Narrowing his eyes, he put down the flashlight and continued looking about the cameras.
  8.
  9. There was a almost immediately a noise, a faint clicking sound from down the hallway. Jeremy took a deep breath and wiped a bit of sweat off his forehead. What were those robots up to?
  10.
  11. He looked back his tablet and checked the Party Rooms, but still the source of the noise eluded him. Thankfully, when he looked toward the main hallway, it became rather clear what was going on. Chica was wandering about with some sort of device. When the security cam's view lit up, Jeremy realized that the yellow machine had somehow acquired a camera of her own. Puzzled, Jeremy watched carefully as the robot wandered about, snapping photos of basically everything it could find. Each time, it looked at the resulting picture for just a moment before throwing it aside it to take another of something else. Eventually, it turned toward the main hall, grinning.
  12.
  13. Jeremy quickly snatched up his flashlight and illuminated the hallway, the mechanical chicken stopping once the light revealed its position. It continued smiling at the security guard. Some time passed as the two stared silently at each other.
  14.
  15. Suddenly, the bird pressed the camera's trigger, sending a loud click echoing through the mostly empty building. Jeremy flinched from the brightness, accidentally dropping his flashlight into his lap, where it casually rolled off and away from him, toward the hallway. When he recovered, he found the yellow bird had walked all the way into his office. Thinking quickly, he donned the Freddy Fazbear mask, and did his best to remain still.
  16.
  17. However, in his rush to protect himself, Jeremy failed to realize that the bird's interest lied in the picture of him she had taken. Looking at it curiously, the machine let out a mechanical giggle. It eventually dropped it like the others, turning back to the guard. She raised her camera, and snapped another picture of him. Jeremy started quietly, his increasingly nervous breathing betraying his intentions. Chica took a few steps to his right after dropping her second picture and snapped another. As she looked over it, she let out a mechanic 'hmm', mentally comparing the two photos.
  18.
  19. Eventually, it spoke to him. "You look better without that mask on."
  20.
  21. Jeremy didn't respond, partially due to fear, partially due to not knowing how to respond. The machine simply giggled at him.
  22.
  23. The machine continued taking pictures of the masked guard until Jeremy heard the dull beeping of his tablet. The music box needed winding. He waited patiently for the machine to be busy looking at a picture, then, as quietly as he could, reached out for his tablet. While he was able to navigate to the correct view without drawing Chica's attention, as he tried to wind the box the room's distinct music caused her to perk up.
  24.
  25. "What's that?"
  26.
  27. "N-Nothing!" Jeremy paled, realizing he had blown his cover, and as the machine walked over to him he mentally weighted his options, thinking of what he could do.
  28.
  29. Chica stood before him, giggling again. It looked down at the tablet Jeremy held, and after a moment snapped a photo of it. She repeated her ritual, looking at the picture as it developed before her mechanical eyes. Jeremy took this moment to wind up the box, but paused when he noticed the bird had been staring into the new photo for so long.
  30.
  31. Cautiously, he spoke. "Is... something wrong?"
  32.
  33. The machine's blue eyes turned to him. "I can see myself in this one." It giggled again before turning around the picture, reaching out to hand it over. Jeremy took it, believing that humoring the machine would ensure it left him alone and in one piece. True to her word, Chica could be seen, albeit faintly, in the photo. The tablet's screen probably reflected her image.
  34.
  35. When Jeremy looked up from the photo, he saw the machine inspecting the camera again. After a minute of deliberation, it spun the camera about, aiming it towards itself. Holding it out, she hit the trigger, a bright flash coming from the device. Jeremy flinched away from it, not ready for the light.
  36.
  37. He recovered faster, this time, to see Chica giggling madly as she looked over the picture of herself. "So that's what my eyes look like. They're so big!"
  38.
  39. Jeremy sat silently as it continued to take more and more and more photos of itself, eventually doing different poses. Maybe twelve later, she turned to Jeremy. He frowned, uncertain that his plan was working.
  40.
  41. "Hold this for me?" From inside his increasingly humid mask, Jeremy raised an eyebrow. Hold what?
  42.
  43. His answer came when the machine casually grabbed and popped off its beak, which it handed over to the guard. He took it reluctantly, depositing it onto his desk. Chica proceeded to take more pictures of herself, and eventually deemed she looked better without the beak. Or with eyes, to Jeremy's dismay.
  44.
  45. Awkwardly, Jeremy did his best to continue actually watching the building and, more importantly, winding up the music box. He eventually got so engrossed in the ultimately quite mundane task that he didn't even notice the bird walk around his desk, standing right beside him. Yelping pitifully as the machine lifted him up out of his seat, Jeremy futilely attempted to squirm out of the machines grasp, but
  46.
  47. The camera held ahead in its other hand, the machine cheerfully declared, "Say 'party'!" and promptly took one final photo.
  48.
  49. She dropped the poor guardsman immediately after, taking the photo and her removed components before walking back into the dark hallway, mumbling about telling her friends about her new discovery. Jeremy eventually recovered and finished his shift, dreading the real possibility that he might be getting more visits from the bird and its camera in the future.
