- Switching back again, I slapped a hand on the thick Ironwood roots that had been exposed as my shell was pulled free. The cliff was a ruin now, caved inward and exposing a network of silver roots that spread down into the ground. All the material I could ever need. No time, though. That was an issue. Without thought or even a word, I sent everything I had pouring into it and just let go.
- Make me something. Anything.
- The dragon crashed into me and the cliff, bursting through rock and driving me deep into it, suffocating me under its mass.
- Metal pulsed and shifted.
- A sound like a nail being driven into rock ground out. The beast roared and thrashed, pushing me deeper and deeper and crushing me. My eyes closed against it, a silent scream escaping me as I kept pushing more and more heat into the Ironwood.
