  1. <Tales_GM> The year is 2512 on the Imperial Calendar...
  2. <Far_Foririan> As his head hits the table, he then wakes up, a bit drowsy and gets up. He can't believe he was drugged, he then pulls out his dagger.
  3. * Shivva gets up and draws his knife. He heads towards to the bar while taking defensive stance.
  4. <Tales_GM> Responding to this, the Warden draws his sword and charges straight for Roderick.
  5. <Thorek> With great speed Thorek jumps onto his feet and stomps over to Conrad, "you made a mistake, boy." He grunts as he attacks the man with his axe, thunking it into warden's arm.
  6. <Roderick> Grunting as the enemy blade grazes him Roderick responds with a slash to Conrad's leg in an attempt to cripple him.
  7. <Tales_GM> Seeing the Warden being attacked, Otto waddles with impressive speed to slash at Shivva.
  8. * Shivva dodges the slash from Otto.
  9. <Tales_GM> Fegor, the bug-eyed freak, charges with a broken high-pitched scream. With a downward cut from a rusted bladed weapon, he opens Roderick's arm flesh just below the elbow.
  10. <Roderick> "Bastard son of a whore!" Roderick roars out in pain as Fegor slashes his arm.
  11. * Seig charges the bartender, angry about ruining such a good meal with poison and smacks him hard in the arm.
  12. * Afrock gets into flanking position and attacks the warden in the left leg.
  13. <Tales_GM> Afrock's blow shatters the Warden's pelvis, severing the man's left leg, and biting half way through the right. A hideous, broken, croak of sheer pain is all the Warden manages before falling limp.
  14. * Far_Foririan decides to charge in to the fight with Otto, Shivva, and Seig to help fight off Otto, as he charges in he things to himself, 'Well this is how I die.' As he charges it seems the Elden gods are watching over him as he stab through Otto's chest right in the heart, killing him.
  15. <Tales_GM> Suddenly, another assailant emerges through an open window. Its visage is grotesque, a repulsive hooded, faceless being with only a skull to be seen in the fireplace's glow.
  16. <Tales_GM> With a howl, it charges Shivva, a dark curved blade in hand.
  17. <Tales_GM> Shivva's paranoid nature, however, has him on his toes, allowing him to side-step at the last possible moment.
  18. <Tales_GM> With a dry, irregular, scraping noise, yet another assailant makes itself known. The body of a man, yet with spider-like legs, it leaps onto Far'foririan from the side wall.
  19. * Far_Foririan is hit hard by the spider like man had in the gut knocking him back, in pain he then begins to vomit out the food from earlier as he lies there on the floor.
  20. * Shivva takes a swing at the hooded figure and misses.
  21. * Thorek noting the two new enemies that have entered the fray, the bountyhunter figures they should finish their food before moving to desert and attacks the bug-eyed enemy, his axe impacting into their chest.
  22. * Roderick delivers a brutal hack with his arming sword that severs Fegor's arm and bites deep into his chest. Bright arterial blood sprays from the wound spattering Far'Foririan as he lays prone on the floor.
  23. * Seig maneuvers to the flank of the animated skeleton and shatters its right arm, the creature clattering to the ground.
  24. * Afrock takes a swipe at the creature attacking Far.
  25. <Tales_GM> With something between a hiss and a bark, the mutant leaps over the bar, and half way up the wall. Shivv and Seig try to impede its escape, but their attempt is clumsy and uncoordinated; they are unable to stop it from reaching the open window, and leaping out into the stormy outside.
  26. <Seig> "Fuck."
  27. <Afrock> "That spider ran away."
  28. <Shivva> "Good, fuck that thing."
  29. <Afrock> "Get back here so I can fight ya."
  30. <Thorek> "Umgak! That can't be any better than our current situation."
  31. * Far_Foririan lies there moaning.
  32. <Thorek> "Afrock, follow me. These stairs go up." He points the head of his axe to them as he heads up.
  33. * Seig puts one hand up on the bar, sticks two fingers down his throat and makes himself throw up the mystery poison.
  34. * Afrock follows along.
  35. <Roderick> "I'm goin up as well, if the on we're after is there I'm not missin my chance."
  36. * Seig mutters "It tasted so good too."
  37. * Shivva robbing the corpses.
  38. * Roderick follows the two dwarves upstairs.
  39. * Seig investigates the weapon the skeleton had.
  40. * Far_Foririan begins to get up, the pain is a lot and he needs something for the pain, he looks to his bag by the table and walks while his hand is over over his gut. He then sits down and opens his bag and pulls out a bottle.
  41. <Seig> "What'd you find?"
  42. <Shivva> "Weapons mostly"
  43. <Seig> "Lets go check if they need backup, Forian rest up."
  44. <Far_Foririan> "Can you hand me a clean mug first Seig?"
  45. <Tales_GM> The bedrooms are unremarkable, save for those bloodstained beds and scattered bedclothes that tell the clear story of a struggle, a stabbing of their occupants, and the dragging of corpses out through the door.
  46. * Shivva throws everything in the handcart. He says "Yea, let's go."
  47. <Seig> "Huh sure.", leans over the bar and grabs a mug passing it to Forian before heading upstairs.
  48. <Afrock> "That's not good at all."
  49. <Thorek> "Grimnir's beard..." Thorek breathes out.
  50. * Far_Foririan takes the mug and then opens up the bottle of Dreamwine and fills the mug by 1/4th, he puts the bottle down and recaps it and takes a drink of the dreamwine.
  51. <Seig> "Nothing doing eh, this looked bad."
  52. <Far_Foririan> "Let me know if you.... need any help.... I'll just rest here for a bit...."
  53. * Shivva says to Seig "You coming up here or you wanna rob this place some more?"
  54. <Shivva> "Hello?"
  55. * Shivva scratches his head.
  56. * Seig grabs a torch and lights it from the fireplace.
  57. * Thorek moves back down stairs, following the trail of blood from the dragged bodies. He moves towards the cellar. "Keep near me Afrock. And the rest of you stick behind us." He lights a lantern in the kitchen before kicking open the cellar door and descending down, his trusty axe in his other hand.
  58. <Roderick> "I'll let you guys trudge through tha muck, holler if you need help. Me n Shivva will check the coach n such."
  59. <Afrock> "All right, good hunting,"
  60. <Afrock> "Fsr keep your gut in."
  61. <Shivva> "Yea, boss. Let's go."
  62. <Thorek> "Don't take all the spoils now." He chuckles as he heads down the steps.
  63. * Seig follows behind the dwarf holding the torch high.
  64. * Shivva gets his dagger ready just in case.
  65. * Roderick chuckles. "Don't worry Thorek we'll share some of the loot."
  66. <Tales_GM> The cellar contains barrels of beer and bottles of wines and spirits. There is a trail of blood stains on the floor. Curiously, these come to an abrupt, and strangely linear end, at the grooves of a slab on the floor.
  67. <Thorek> "Seig, can you go fetch Shivva, we might need his tools for this." He looks to Afrock. "Shall we try in the meantime cousin?"
  68. <Afrock> "Sure."
  69. <Seig> "Think he left them in his cart I'll go grab the crowbar."
  70. * Seig leaving the building, calls out to Shivva "Borrowing your crowbar, shit needs prying!"
  71. <Tales_GM> The coach house's door is locked, the Cartak Lines coach still within.
  72. <Tales_GM> On the north wall of the coach house are stairs leading to the upper floor of the building.
  73. <Afrock> "There'll prabably be a stench behind."
  74. <Tales_GM> Water trickles from step to step, and it is clear the door has been left ajar.
  75. <Roderick> "Let's check up those stairs Shivva, maybe there's a door we can use."
  76. <Shivva> "Yea, though spider fuck could still be around."
  77. <Tales_GM> With the stables just across the stairs, restless horses neigh and kick as Roderick starts up the coach house's stairs.
  78. <Roderick> "Aye, keep your eyes up mate."
  79. * Shivva follows behind Roderick while checking over his shoulder every once in awhile.
  80. <Tales_GM> The chamber above the coach house has beds, and a living space, apparently meant for staff.
  81. <Tales_GM> These beds, however, are also disturbed.
  82. <Tales_GM> A violent event occurred here; overturned night stands, destroyed and leaking lamps on the floor, and stools with broken legs.
  83. <Roderick> "Looks close to upstairs at the proper building, look around Shivva and see if we can find any idea of where they went."
  84. * Seig once back inside hands the crowbar to one of the dwarves.
  85. * Shivva still twitchy over the fight and can't focus on anything.
  86. <Roderick> "Guess the rain may've washed the blood away..oh look what I found!" Roderick lifts a set of keys from the debris. "Lesse if this unlocks the door below eh?"
  87. <Shivva> "These's a door?"
  88. <Roderick> "The locked one on the outside mate, keep up."
  89. <Tales_GM> After some struggle, the slab is lifted, and pivoted to one side, allowing for its removal.
  90. <Thorek> "Kruting slab." Thorek grunts.
  91. <Tales_GM> The first thing to catch your eye is a two-foot high statue of an obscene being. It stands in the middle of what can only be described as a shrine, in the center of a strange moving pattern.
  92. <Tales_GM> The pattern constantly shifts between a sinuous symbol featuring curves and pointed ends and an octagon. The statue is made from a greenish stone, which seems to flow and move when observed.
  93. <Tales_GM> Your attention then comes to a man and a woman tied together, a pair of servants in plain clothes tied together, and a coachman, tied on his own. They are all tightly bound in this shrine. They are, however, unconscious. In one corner, the bodies of a coachman, three artisans, and a Halfing in cook's apron also lay limp.
  94. * Afrock shakes his head side to side and looks away stating, "We need to burn this place down."
  95. <Thorek> "Help me drag them out. They shouldn't suffer such a fate. We'll bury this kruting hole after."
  96. <Afrock> "Aye we can do that at least."
  97. * Afrock starts dragging the bound folks at an efficient rate.
  98. <Tales_GM> As the bodies' layout is disturbed, the shifting patterns begin to emit an ethereal smoke, thick, and with an almost liquid quality.
  99. <Afrock> "Go faster."
  100. <Tales_GM> Soon, the particles begin to condense, and in mere seconds the concentrations of this ethereal material take on the form of limbs... claws... a central mass with a gaping maw.
