I Want to Be Done Edition

Hey guys, how’s it goin?

The slow process of PPC Easy mode made a little progress last week from 2:57 to 2:56. There may not be a 2:55 left on the leaderboard for me to compete against soon, but I would still like to get 2:55 before I give the mode a break. There’s a theoretical limit of 2:43, but multiple seas would have to part and multiple planets would have to align in order for that to happen. I would pass out multiple times and likely die if I tried to hold my breath until someone got 2:4X, much less 2:43. Thus, the grind continues this week.

I also resumed my Tetrisphere playthrough on Saturday. Honestly, I want to be done with the game. The higher levels of the game are not fun to learn. The game is no longer fun to play. I have been playing for almost 30 hours and, yet, I have not been able to complete any of the four completable modes. I am closest to finishing Rescue mode (I finished episode 9 of 10 on Saturday) so I will resume with that on my next Saturday stream.

I have also made a decision with my past Twitch broadcasts that may raise an eyebrow or two. I have decided to make them sub-only, i.e. only Twitch subscribers will be able to view my footage archived on Twitch. I know that very, very few people watch those videos, but unless I have someone dedicated to highlighting my videos, I will only be able to highlight videos the week after the fact. Besides, Twitch will never pay me for my video views, but YouTube might as soon as I get enough YouTube subscribers. This move is to push more traffic on the recorded content to YouTube since it will benefit me the most. I’ve been considering doing this for months. It is not a decision I make lightly. I am open to feedback on this change.

On a side note, while I’m thinking about it: the Mahou Sensei Negima games for the Game Boy Advance are quite fun. They are RPGs, but you fight with collectible cards. It’s a match made in heaven for me. I just wish that I had time to translate them to understand the story. I’m not crazy enough to pay someone else to do it since I get enough enjoyment from the card battles, but it would be nice to know what’s going on. (Before you ask, if I don’t have time to translate the games, I certainly don’t have the time to learn to read Japanese. That’s a personal pipe dream. I’m doing too much speedrunning right now to take the time to do that.)
