[18:45] * Violet has been miserable from all the rain
[18:45] <~Kroked> Kaia and the others haven't been able to dance because of that, and thus, the caravan has had to turn to... other, means of income
[18:46] <~Kroked> of course, you're tty familliar with it now, it's just a fact of life, you even help sometimes
[18:46] <~Kroked> I, of course, mean cheating and stealing
[18:46] <~Kroked> what did you /think/ I meant?

[18:49] <~Kroked> at the moment, the caravan is parked far outside the nearest town, by an old abandoned castle, while some of the group goes into town to do their work, you've been allowed to stay at the caravan

[18:50] * Violet thinks to herself, "Oh yes, leave the 12 year old to watch over everyone's livelihood."
[18:52] <~Kroked> Kaia had assured you it would be fine, there are all sorts of superstitions about gypsies
[18:52] <~Kroked> threaten to curse them and they'd be running with their tail between there legs
[18:53] * Violet was still skeptical, but agreed to it, if only because Kaia asked
[18:53] <~Kroked> as it is, you're pretty bored, you've finshed feeding the horses and such, now you're sitting on the caravan protected from the rain
[18:54] <~Kroked> you hear a sudden thump ontop of the caravan
[18:54] * Violet wonders if it started hailing in addition to rain
[18:54] <~Kroked> you hear muffled baritone cursing
[18:54] * Violet decides it's not hail
[18:55] <~Kroked> are you looking out the window?
[18:55] * Violet gets up and does so
[18:55] * Violet stands on tiptoes to look

[18:59] * Violet cracks the door open as quietly as she can, letting the rain mask the noise.

[19:02] <~Kroked> you see a man groaning and sitting up in the rain, he has short black hair, and a full beard that's starting to get wild. he is wide shouldered, reminds you of the Nordic folk you saw last year, he's also quite tall, but his guild makes his weaponry appear very out of place. on his side is strapped a katana is an elegantly designed sheath, t's like a piece >

[19:04] * Violet continues to peek, careful to make sure he doesn't see her
[19:05] <~Kroked> the man doesn't, he turns around, and you notice he's wearing glasses, something you haven't seen on this planet. he kinda stretches and looks around, and notices the carrige, but not you
[19:06] * Violet doesn't move, hoping he chooses to go away
[19:07] <~Kroked> the man walks up to the caravan and knocks on your carrige "Uh, there anyone around?"
[19:08] * Violet hops away, holding back a squeak
[19:09] * Violet doesn't say anything, pretending she doesn't exist

[19:09] * Violet cautiously opens the door nervously
[19:10] <~Kroked> "oh hey, uh, hi there, uh... you have any parents around?"
[19:11] <Violet> Uhm, uh yeah, but they're a little busy right now. What do you need?
[19:12] <~Kroked> "Oh uh... I uh... where are we?"
[19:12] * Violet tells him the name of the city (assuming she knows what it is)
[19:13] <~Kroked> "ok thanks... and uh... whats the name of this pla... never mind. Uh, you know anything about the big old castle over there?" he points behind the cart

[19:15] <Violet> "Not really. Why?"

[19:25] <~Kroked> the man sighs "Point taken. Not trying to bother you or anything, I'm uh, I'm just here for a specific reason... I'm just not exactly sure what that /is/ yet"

[19:32] <~Kroked> "I...guess not..." he seems to take a long look at you for a moment as f thinking "Maybe..." he mutters, than shakes his head "I guess I'll skedaddle than. is it alright if I check out that castle?"
[19:33] * Violet shrugs. "Fine with me."
[19:33] * Violet pauses.
[19:34] <Violet> "Actually..."
[19:34] <Violet> "Why do you want to go up to the castle, exactly?
[19:35] <~Kroked> "Uh well... the reason I'm here might be there"
[19:35] <~Kroked> he kina shakes scratches his head as if embarassed
[19:35] <Violet> ((About how long until the rest of the gypsies get back?"))

[19:36] <Violet> "And what makes you think that, again?"
[19:37] <~Kroked> "Well, it's the only thing that stands out in the area"
[19:37] * Violet scoffs, "And myself and a fairy don't?"
[19:41] <~Kroked> "Well are you in trouble or anything?"
[19:41] <Violet> "Unless you're the trouble, I should be fine"
[19:42] * Violet mumbles to self, "Except maybe with my sister..."
[19:42] <~Kroked> he raises his eyebrows "Sister?"
[19:43] * Violet laughs lightly, "Oh, itnothing
[19:43] * Violet *it's nothing."
[19:44] <~Kroked> "...you sure? I guess I don't really have a right to talk, being a random stranger, but if there's anything wrong, I can at least listen"
[19:45] * Violet studies his face, attempting to get a sense of how sincere he is
[19:46] <~Kroked> the man seems genuinely worried about you, an uncommon trait for strangers... for anyone really
[19:46] <Violet> "Well, have you ever heard of Eolas?"
[19:48] <~Kroked> "No I'm afraid not, I'm not exactly fammilliar with... anything really"
[19:48] * Violet sighs with a sad smile, "Well, nevermind, then, I guess."
[19:49] <~Kroked> "Why don't you tell me anyways? I might not understand, but sometimes, just talking can help"
[19:50] * Violet thinks for a moment, then nods. "First, why don't you come inside. You'll freeze to death out there in that weather."
[19:51] <~Kroked> he nod's and smiles "Thanks, it was starting to get hard to see" he says with a chuckle, gesturing at his glasses"
[19:51] <~Kroked> he heads in
[19:52] * Violet offers him a seat and sets about making tea (or whatever warm kind of drink there is to be drunk)
[19:53] <~Kroked> he thanks you and takes a seat, unbuckling his sword so he can do so, and you begin making tea
[19:55] * Violet finishes making tea, and brings over the pot and three cups and fills up each one.
[19:56] * Violet hands the man his cup.
[19:56] <~Kroked> the man takes it carefully "Thanks"
[19:56] * Celia flits out of Violet's hair and into the third cup, where she rests in the boiling water.
[19:57] <Violet> "So, can you tell me your name, first?"
[19:57] <~Kroked> "I'm Josh, Josh Kroke."
[19:59] <Violet> "Hm. That's a curious name..."
[20:00] <~Kroked> "Yeah, it's one of kind " he chuckles
[20:01] <Violet> "I'm Violet Seriko. It's nice to meet you."
[20:02] <~Kroked> "Curious name yourself"
[20:03] * Violet smiles wryly, "I would say it's one of a kind as well, but who knows, in a universe as big as this."
[20:03] <~Kroked> "the man chuckles :You have no idea"
[20:04] * Violet gestures towards the fairy in her little tea-tub. "And this is Celia."
[20:05] * Celia waves with her eyes closed, barely acknowledging her being recognized
[20:05] <~Kroked> Josh nods his head "Nice to meet you"
[20:07] <Violet> "So before I go telling you my life's story, what do you know about yourself? You obviously remember your name and you know enough about the universe to whimsically talk about it. Who exactly are you?"
[20:08] <~Kroked> "I uh... you wouldn't believe me"
[20:08] <Violet> "You wouldn't believe what I would believe"
[20:09] <~Kroked> "I spose the imaginations of little girls are boundless huh?... oh god I'm alone in a carrige with a little girl, what the hell am I doing"
[20:10] <~Kroked> the fact of the situation seems to have just hit him and he kind ahangs his head in shame and sighs in exasperation
[20:11] <Violet> "Getting in trouble, only if I scream for help. And we're not alone. Celia is right there."
[20:11] * Celia shoots Josh the strongest glare that promises fire and brimstone if he so much as touches Violet.

[20:12] <~Kroked> "Now uh... I guess you could say I'm a sort of... Traveler"
[20:12] * Violet nods, listening
[20:13] <~Kroked> "and I kinda just... end up places, places where I need to do things, I just don;t know what till I get there"
[20:13] <~Kroked> he's obviously trying to avoid saying some things, that's kinda painfully obvious
[20:14] <Violet> "And apparently you don't know until after you get there, as well."
[20:14] <Violet> "Unless it's come to you, all of a sudden, of course."
[20:15] <~Kroked> "Well, generally I look around until i find something needed to be done. sometimes it takes a few minutes, sometimes months"
[20:16] <Violet> "Well, if I were to tell you that I was whisked away to this land, seemingly randomly, would that be an indicator?
[20:17] <~Kroked> "...Yep that's a good hint right there"
[20:20] <Violet> "And you would believe me?"
[20:21] <~Kroked> "Yeah"
[20:25] * Violet blinks, slightly surprised. "R-really?"
[20:26] <~Kroked> "Of course, I run into stuff like this a lot"
[20:27] <Violet> "Would you believe me if I said that I was the princess of more than half the known universe?"
[20:28] <~Kroked> "...That... is a bit harder to swallow but sure, I'll take your word for it"
[20:30] * Violet half-laughs, half-scoffs. "That's more than anyone's given me in the last two years. Even...Kaia..."
[20:31] <~Kroked> "Yeah well, I'm not exactly normal" he laughs
[20:31] * Violet mumbles, "Neither is she."
[20:32] <~Kroked> "Oh? she special?"
[20:32] * Violet blushes, "Uhm...uh...kind of, yeah."
[20:33] <~Kroked> "...ah...you like her"
[20:33] * Violet goes even redder flustered, "I-I...maybe a little..."
[20:34] <~Kroked> Josh scratches his head "Ah well, thats normal I guess, you're growing and stuff.'
[20:35] * Violet glares and pouts at him, before looking away, too embarrassed to say anything.
[20:35] <~Kroked> "A-anyways, tell me more about your problem"
[20:37] <Violet> "Well, that kind of is the problem...she doesn't really believe me. About any of that."
[20:37] * Violet looks worried, "I-it's not like she's a mean person or anything. She's really nice and understanding and sweet, but...I'd just like for someone else to believe me."
[20:39] <~Kroked> "Well... I can understand why she wouldn't believe you. This place doesn't seem to terribly advanced, technology wise, and you're a kid, so she probably just thinks its some fairytale you made up, or it's your way of surpressing bad memories"
[20:39] <~Kroked> "You'd probably need something to prove your claims"
[20:43] <~Kroked> "Do you have anything?"
[20:43] * Violet sighs sadly. "I know. I just don't have any real way to do so. I guess it's more the principle of it all, that she doesn't believe me, that she would need proof before taking my word on something so important..."
[20:43] * Celia flies out of her cup and leans against Violet's cheek comfortingly.

[20:46] <Violet> "Yes?"
[20:47] <~Kroked> "You seem more worried about getting this girl to believe you than getting of this planet. do you not want to go home?"
[20:47] <Violet> "I...don't know."
[20:49] <~Kroked> "Do you like it here?"
[20:49] <Violet> "I miss my sister, but she'd been too busy for me for a long time before I left. I never left the palace or did anything exciting. While here, sure life is a little more dangerous, but it's actually a life where people care and spend time with me."
[20:51] <~Kroked> "So you like the fact people actually show affection to you than?"
[20:52] <Violet> "I guess that's part of it. I actually get to do stuff here, too. I'm not some person for people to dote on. I pull my own weight around here, and people appreciate me for it."
[20:55] <~Kroked> "Yeah... I can understand that. But are you sure this is what you want?"
[20:55] <Violet> "Like I said, I don't know..."
[20:55] <~Kroked> "...you are only a kid i guess, and it's not an easy decision"
[20:55] <Violet> "But it's not like I have a choice right now. I don't even know how to get back. Or what happened to the others I was with, for that matter."
[20:56] <~Kroked> "You aren't exactly trying either. and what's this about others?"
[21:00] <Violet> "Please, tell me how a twelve-year-old girl is supposed to find a way to magically teleport herself back home. I, for one, would love to know how."
[21:00] <Violet> "The others I was with were a group of girls and one boy. They came to the palace and I...kind of stowed away with them once they left. I was just curious about life outside the palace. It sounded so interesting and fun. But shortly after I joined them, we got separated by a faulty gate."

[21:01] <~Kroked> Josh goes quiet for a moment, thinking
[21:01] <~Kroked> "Violet, do you read books? Stories?"
[21:02] <Violet> "Uhm...yeah, why do you ask?"
[21:03] <~Kroked> "You asked how a girl like yourself could possibly find a way of a place like this right? Well in all of those stories, the most incredibly and unbeleivable things happen to the main characters right?"
[21:04] <Violet> "Do I look like a main character to you? And besides, it can take years for those people to accomplish their tasks."
[21:05] <~Kroked> "You do, actually"
[21:05] * Violet rolls her eyes.
[21:06] <~Kroked> "You're a young Princess of half the universe, who extraordinary circumstances, got stranded on an underdeveloped planet."
[21:06] <Violet> "So then where's the way home?
[21:06] <~Kroked> "who know's, but I know it's out there."
[21:07] <~Kroked> "Afterall"
[21:07] <~Kroked> "Every story you ever read? It's happened, someplace, somewhere"
[21:10] <Violet> "I guess that makes sense...but still...I don't even know the first place to look. It's been all I can do to stay alive. Five minutes after arriving here, I was almost killed by a sphinx"

[21:11] <~Kroked> "Can you imagine that? Killed by everything you hate about yourself? no that wouldve sucked"

[21:20] <~Kroked> "I'll travel with you, and we'll look into anything strange in any town we come across"
[21:21] * Violet giggles a little bit. "And how will you explain this to the other gypsies?"

[21:22] <~Kroked> "aha, Bodyguard!"
[21:22] <Violet> "So a young female gypsy just gets a bodyguard out of nowhere?"
[21:22] <~Kroked> "Not just for you, the caravan"
[21:23] <~Kroked> "While I'm sure you're all capable, a little extra security from a professional is always nice"

[21:24] <Violet> "Hmmm. I suppose I could convince Kaia that it wouldn't be a bad idea. I could tell them that you came here while they were gone and want to be a guard in exchange for staying with us."
[21:24] <~Kroked> "That would be nice, I'll just have to make sure you don't try to steal my things and leave me in a ditch"
[21:25] <Violet> "Hmph. Just because we're gypsies, doesn't mean that we'd take advantage of someone down on their luck."

[21:29] <Violet> "I'll tell Kaia, and I'm sure everything will be alright."
[21:30] <~Kroked> Josh nods and stretches "ok, I think I'm going to check out that castle quick than."
[21:32] <Violet> "I...can I go with you?"
[21:32] * Celia , who had been snuggling her cheek, gives Violet a look of disbelief.
[21:38] <~Kroked> "...you sure? Might be dangerous"
[21:38] * Violet steels her gaze and nods.
[21:39] <Violet> "Yes. If I want to find my friends and a way home, I need to start taking action"
[21:40] <~Kroked> "...ok, but stay behind me. I don't want you to get hurt"
[21:41] * Violet smiles. "That's very kind of you."
[21:42] * Celia tugs on Violet's hair, in an attempt to get her attention and dissuade her from going.
[21:42] <~Kroked> "...it seems your friends a bit worried though."
[21:42] <~Kroked> "You sure?"
[21:43] * Violet gives her friend a look. "I know you miss them just as much as I do. Though I suppose we could just live here with Kaia for the rest of our lives." Her face goes noticeably pink while saying this.
[21:44] * Celia folds her arms begrudgingly and takes a seat on Violet's shoulder
[21:44] <~Kroked> Josh chuckles "Than, I guess it's time for some adventure."
[21:45] <~Kroked> "Let's get this story of yours started"
[21:46] * Violet smiles brightly and follows him out into the rain, grabbing a cloak to cover herself and Celia
[21:53] <~Kroked> you head out with Josh into the damp raining outdoors and to the dark foreboding castle
[21:55] * Violet tugs on his sleeve, "Hey, um about how long do you think we'll be out here?"
[21:57] <~Kroked> "Depends, Probably a couple hours."
[21:57] <Violet> Mmkay. We should try to get back before [insert time 6 hours from now]. That's when Kaia will be back."
[21:58] <~Kroked> "Ok, we hopefully shouldn't take that long, unless some ancient monster is sleeping here or something"
[21:59] * Violet laughs nervously, "O-of course that wouldn't happen."
[22:01] <~Kroked> you head in, the place is dark, and dim
[22:06] <~Kroked> the place has a few leeks, and all, is pretty dingy now, yyou explore for a few hours, but dont find anything. you eventually get to the top and find a huge pair of double doors, a suit of armor on either side
[22:06] * Violet whispers, "This place has been awfully empty and quiet for a castle."
[22:07] <~Kroked> "..., well it is abandoned"
[22:08] * Violet pauses. "Well, I suppose it is."
[22:10] <~Kroked> "...stay here for a sec"
[22:10] * Violet waits, but keeps a close eye on him.
[22:10] <~Kroked> Josh walks up to the big double doors ans give them a push, they slide open after some effort
[22:11] <~Kroked> and suddenly the suits of armor on either side of the door begin to move

[22:12] <~Kroked> "...Thought so"
[22:13] * Violet projects her voice as best she can without bringing it above a whisper, "What should we do?"
[22:15] <~Kroked> "You can run" Josh says calmly, placing a hand on his sword, and getting into an unfamilliar stance "I'll fight them off"

[23:46] * Violet hesitates, before crouching down to the spot where Celia had been trying to start a fire on the rug

[23:48] * Violet glances back nervously. "Uhm...making sure this thing burns up all the way through so it doesn't set the place on fire."
