  1. ] Alright so first you need to get the serial key. Everybody mentions the serial key but I found it hard to know just where to get a fully functioning key without having to pay or generate it myself. This will take just a minute.
  2. 1. Go to Ebay(or wherever you can buy used products) 2. Search for the monitor that you want to get 3. Look for listings with pictures that the seller has taken themselves. 4. Look for serials. These are pretty much always on the back of the monitors or on the side of the box. You've done it! You've got yourself a free serial! This won't hurt the person who's selling the monitor either, so it's a win win situation! (Or use craigslist etc)
  3.
  4. So now that you've got your serial number, it's time to get to work.
  5.
  6. Go to HP customer support page >>> https://support.hp.c...s-en/contact-hp
  7. Select your country
  8. Press "Continue as guest"
  9. Enter your serial
  10. Press "Show options"
  11. Now it's time to call
  12.
  13. THE CALL
  14. You need to come up with a fault in your monitor. My personal favourite is that the monitor just won't turn on. You can say that you tried different cords & different outlets but that it just isn't working. If you say that your screen is tinted red or that it was broken when you got it they might ask for photo evidence, and that's something you might want to avoid.
  15.
  16. One important thing to know before you call is that you got this broken monitor as a gift. If you bought it yourself they expect you to have a receipt. So yeah.
  17.
  18. Tell them your real name & address, since they're going to ship the product to your house. You can of course use a reship company in which case this doesn't apply.
  19.
  20. And that's about it! Now you just have to make the call and tell them what I told you to. Of course this method doesn't work 100% and if you feel like the call is going badly just hang up and recall later. This could potentially work for any HP product.
