Oftentimes, it is said that the best defense is a good offense. Practitioners of the Lightning Bruiser style believe wholeheartedly in this maxim, prioritizing speed and efficiency over taking a hit. Over time, those who use Lightning Bruiser gradually toughen their bodies, usually as a result of full-force collisions or other accidents. While not as solidly able to take a blow as other, more balanced kung fu (to say nothing of the defensive styles), Lightning Bruisers are nevertheless not as fragile as they first appear.

[Qualities]

Laughs: Speed and an overwhelming offense are a Lightning Bruiser's forte. As such, they Laugh at the styles who try and keep up with it, as a Lightning Bruiser is as quick as his or her namesake. A Lightning Bruiser also Laughs at other offense-oriented styles--pale imitations, they cannot hope to live up to the pain that a Lightning Bruiser can inflict at the end of a charge. Finally, a Lightning Bruiser Laughs at trickery and deception, which are often used in substitution for a real defense; all they take is one solid strike to shatter them.

Fears: Lightning Bruisers Fear the purity of a solid defense, the armor and shields that make fighters as solid as the rock that ignores pure lightning. Lightning Bruisers also Fear stealthy styles--without being able to see the target, how could a Lightning Bruiser bring their force to play? Finally, a Lightning Bruiser Fears the calm and placid, those with an abundance of Yang, as they sap the energy and vitality that are a Lightning Bruiser's trademark.

A Lightning Bruiser is practically confidence incarnate; the storm rises, unleashes its fury, and then leaves, without a care of those trying to resist!
·Opponents suffer a -10 penalty when trying to use Courtier's Arts against you. This applies even outside of combat, unless you would not be subconsciously using your Lightning Bruiser kung fu for some reason.
