  1. Set up my own internet and have my own router and modem instead of one provided by the ISP. The internet works fine, but every now and again a site won't load and say no internet even though the wi-fi icon doesn't end up showing anything's wrong. Initially, the problem was "windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings" which I just unchecked that box in the proxy settings. No longer get that problem.

  3. But now, every now and again I get "the connection between your access point router or cable modem and the internet is broken" and "the default gateway is not available" which always fixes itself. The connection is never 'down' for a significant amount of time and usually doesn't happen long enough to affect phones or Amazon FireStick, just on the laptop.
