- FF9 is an insanely RNG heavy game and extremely high level goals like a sub 8:40 is not ever guaranteed to happen. Even the very best FF9 runners that managed to get it, only had one ever(except Misuto, who had 2 I believe). So I will not force something that is just pure luck for the biggest part at this point. I said about 2 months ago that I will grind FF9 still until FF7 Rebirth releases and then move on to try it again at a later point. Well, it's time, FF Rebirth released and the FF9 grind is over. It does make me a bit sad that I couldn't get the sub 8:40 that I wanted but I can always try it again later.
- As for what now, FF7! First I will focus on my intense casual playthrough of FF7 Rebirth but after that I will make a full return to the original FF7 No Slots speedrun to optimize my route and include all the new strats and finds from the last years to hunt again for the WR in that category. This will also probably be a longer stay since, if motivation and support is there, I also want to tackle some other categories like 100% and NMS maybe.
