≫ PERSONALITY; Mari is someone who can randomly be crazy and then turn into the most quiet person ever; she has random energy spikes that go away after a while. Because of that, her members thinks she's a strange little bird. She's selfless and puts other people's needs over her own. Mari aka also very gullible, she feels bad after she doesn't give a member that last cookie and doesn't have the heart to say no to someone. Her family members think she's too nice and she can't help but agree, but her gullible nature has gotten in big trouble multiple times in her life. She is usually one of the victims of the maknae's evil tricks because she doesn't have the heart to say no.
Mari is a very curious individual.
She has actually curiosity in a lot of different things and just happens to hear conversations.
Mari isn't a big fan of aegyo, or cute stuff. Despite what she thinks, she's one of the members with natural aegyo. Everything she does is considered cute. Especially her fingers and her somewhat small height, she's one of the smallest members of the group.
Mari is the lowkey nerd of the group. Mari is basically the encyclopedia of the group, she can just blurt out random facts about everything. She has too much time on her hands, so she watches random videos and looks up random stuff. She is usually the one to 'zone out' during certain conversations. There are two explanations to that. Either she doesn't want to listen to it or it's petty as hell and she doesn't have time for it. But she is a great listener and a great secret keeper. Even if she's being pressured, she won't give in and tell your secret. In short, she's a loyal ass hoe.
Mari is straight-forward and sometimes tells the straight up truth on accident. She sometimes does things without thinking and is a bit reckless with her words sometimes, causing her to splur out random things that's sometimes get her in trouble.
Mari is a bit insecure. While she always seems like she's got her shit together, she's afraid of losing her closest friends and hates being alone. She's naturally a very touchy feely and huggy type of individuals. She also worries about little things a lot. Once in kindergarten, she started crying when she went outside. Her explanation was that she thought she killed an ant. She likes to know that someone is there for her and cannot got with interactions between her and other people.
Mari knows that she can't always protect the group members, but she does so when she can. When she feels something is sketchy, she noted it and tells the older members - just so she won't worry the younger. Whenever they are in a bad situation, she finds a way out of that and is usually the one to observe something and point it out. Mari is a very fair person and likes justice, when something is unsettled it makes her upset. She is a very caring person. Like it was stated before, she always puts the members above her. With the younger members, she would take care of them during trainee times.
Mari is a very stubborn person when it comes to what she believes in. While it might be annoying, she's headstrong and what she believes in isn't shot down.
Mari has a cute laugh that the members can't help but adore. She breaks out into laughter during awkward moments and is the master at dad jokes. She always has a weird joke or some joke up her sleeve. She's personally a fan of irony and corny ass jokes.
Mari finds herself liking being babied. She likes the feeling of being taken cared of and many people mistake her as the maknae because of how the members take care of her. Mari is not an emotional person, she is seen rarely crying and doesn't like seeing people crying. It's generally because she doesn't want anyone to worry for her. But when you bring up her family, or badmouth about them, it's hits her in the heart.


≫ BACKGROUND; Apart of the foregin line and sometimes counted into the maknae line, Mari has a mix of sugar, spice and everything nice. She was born in America after her parents decided to leave Japan after some family issues. Shewent back to Japan at the age of 14, but her life in America was tricky. She had to struggle with racism and had to to tackle learning two languages at the same time; Japanese and English. She had good friends that influence her decisions now. During training she took care of the younger members and they depended on her. She was the person who took everyone out to eat and would pay for the meal, despite being one of the younger ones.
Mari hated training because she never got to see her family. She does miss them and that's possibly one of the things she's sensitive about is her family.
