12 Hour Challenge - BCAS

Q: What is the 12 hour challenge?
A: The 12 hour challenge is Golden's community event where you must learn and complete a speedrun of a game/category you've never done before within 12 hours. There's no official rules beyond that--everything is open to interpretation. In fact, even the premise itself is fairly loose.

Q: What is BCAS?
A: Rockman 4: Burst Chaser x Air Sliding is a romhack of Rockman 4 for the Famicom. Made by Tsukikuro, it borrows elements from 2 other hacks -- Rockman 3: Burst Chaser (heavily increased speed, also by Tsukikuro), and Rockman 5: Air Sliding (the ability to slide while in midair).

Q: What else is different?
A: As with most romhacks, level design, AI, music, weapons, etc. have all been modified.

Q: Why BCAS for the 12 hour challenge?
A: This was actually a really difficult choice, especially when compared to my previous 12 hour challenge, Double Spoiler. I guess it mostly boils down to these reasons:
- compared to the other games I was considering, BCAS still has a good chunk of unexplored territory in terms of strat and routing improvements
- length (not too short, not too long)
- it always looked really fun to run, and I love the music
- readily available VODs to learn from
- bcas owns
