Histoire - Chapter 3 (END)

"What did you want to talk about Histoire?"

"I don't know how to say this properly, but, I'm more than certain that wasn't just the fever talking."

"So are you saying those emotions were genuine?"

"Y-yes..."

You see her hide herself slightly in the blankets as you walk towards the bed. Her eyes dart between you and the bed, full of nervousness. Sitting by the bed, opposite of Histoire, you decide to break the stalemate.

"Well, what are those feelings telling you to do?"

"I-I'm scared..."

You gently put your hand on her head and give her a reassuring smile. "Don't worry."

She takes your hand on her head and holds it close to her. "I-I'd like to know what you think of me..."

"W-well... I think that you're quite cute, hardworking, and generally a pleasant person to be around with."

"Such a general statement... hmph... okay, then, do you like me? More than a friend, or even a co-worker?"

"Y-you've definitely put me up the wall here..."

"P-please just answer the question, I've had to gather up plenty of courage just to even ask this."

"I understand, and to answer the question, yes, I do like you, but..."

"B-but?"

"I don't want to sound shallow, but it's the size difference, it's a bit... much."

"So are you saying, if that was somehow alleviated then you're more than okay with me?"

"W-well how about you?"

"What about me?" She says as she tightens her hold on your hand.

"Would you be fine with someone like me? I'm pretty sure with the intensive background check you've done on me..."

"Of course, and no, with how you showed your work, I'm more than certain I'm more than happy with you."

"I see..."

"Now to solve that concern of yours..."

"Wait what?"

You see her produce a mushroom out of seemingly nowhere, and she offers it to you.

"Here, please eat this, don't worry it's perfectly safe."

"I'm trusting you completely here," as you take the mushroom and pop it in your mouth. It has a distinct lack of flavor to it as you chew it. You swallow it as you finish chewing it and look at Histoire.

"Uh, now what?"

"If you please, remove your clothing, it'll be easier if you do so before the effect kicks in."

"Excuse me?"

"Just follow my instructions, please, you've already eaten something unknown from me, and this is what you complain about? Don't worry I'll look away as you do."

"A-alright..."

Removing your clothes, you neatly fold them into a pile as you feel an odd sensation that everything seems to be growing larger and larger. Finishing up, you notice that the distance between you and Histoire seemed to have physically grown immense, and the entire room has turned gigantic. Sitting down, you begin to address Histoire.

"Uh, Histoire? Why is everything currently huge?"

Silence answers your question as you feel a sudden embrace from behind and hear Histoire's cheerful voice.

"Well this would solve your concern right? Don't worry, you'll turn back to your normal size soon enough."

"This definitely solves that problem, but, why did you ask me to take off my clothes..."

"I think you know, why," as you feel her turn your face towards her.

Seeing Histoire like this, you can see that not only is she cute, she's beautiful. Her blue eyes, deeply looking into your own eyes, her cute button nose, and her slightly parted lips, readying a kiss. Both her hands hold your face as she closes unto you. You feel her lips press unto you as she gives you a kiss. She breaks the kiss shortly, as she looks at you.

"Histoire, isn't this going a bit too fast?"

"Nonsense, we've both said we like each other already, and it's not like you're not enjoying it..."

"I-I suppose..."

She resumes the kiss once more as she pushes you down the bed. You embrace her in your arms as you see her take off her dress as she continues the kiss.

Both of you lie in bed, in embrace, looking at each other, breathing slowly and deeply. You hear Histoire break the silence first.

"This... makes me glad, that every room here is basically... soundproof."

"Y-yeah... that was quite the experience, Histoire..."

"You did quite well yourself..."

"W-what time is it?"

"It's ... quite late, so I'd have to say your stamina is very admirable."

You give Histoire a quick kiss as you break the embrace and sit up. "We should probably go clean up after ourselves now... and go to sleep."

"Okay, let me just, give you this, it's the reversal mushroom for the one I gave you a while back."

"Are these things any at all rare?"

"Oh? Are you worried we might somehow run out?" You see her give you a smirk.

"H-Histoire, please..."

"I'm just teasing, and to answer, no, they're quite common, and there is no side effect to them, as long as you don't consume more than one of the same kind at a time."

"If this mushroom can make me grow, why don't you take one?"

"I've seen what it could do to Neptune after she ate one... almost destroyed the entirety of Planeptune tower."

"I ... see."

As the effect of the reversal mushroom take place, you put on your clothes, and clean up the, thankfully, small spot where you and Histoire shared an intimate experience with. Finishing your task of cleaning up, you see Histoire fully dressed and looking at you while she brushes her hair.

"I-I'd like to keep our personal relationship as disconnected as possible when we're working, if you please..."

You reply as you get into bed. "Of course, I was thinking the same thing as well."

"That's good, then it wouldn't be too odd for me to stay the rest of the night here, seeing as you're still nursing me back to health."

"Okay, have a good night Histoire."

"You too."

Closing your eyes, you take a look at Histoire's smiling face as she closes her eyes. Your dreams are filled with various scenes of life with Histoire.

Waking up to the buzzing sound of your alarm, you raise your arm to press the switch on top of it, silencing it. You open your eyes and turn your head to the side, giving you the sight of Histoire, embracing your other arm. Looking at her peaceful, sleeping face, is quite the difference from your memories of last night. You call out to her to wake her up.

"Histoire, it's morning. Time to wake up."

Her sleeping disturbed, you see her slowly open your eyes, as she yawns, still hugging your arm. "Good morning."

"Good morning to you too. Let's get ready for the day."

"Okay, I'll head back to my room, since my necessities are in my own bathroom. I'll see you later okay." You see her summon her usual floating book and sit on it.

Standing up, you open the door for her and see her out. "I'll see you during breakfast."

Closing the door, you head to your own bathroom to prepare for the day. You wash your face, and brush your teeth, as you put on a fresh set of clothes. Exiting your room, you see Histoire exiting her own room as well. She nods towards you as you both walk to the dining area.

"Good morning sleepyheads!"

Neptune's voice rings out as you two enter. You see her eating a plate of pancakes, topped off with pudding, as Nepgear puts down two more plates of pancakes, one with a smaller serving for Histoire. Taking the seat with the usual sized serving of pancakes, Histoire floats to the spot with the smaller serving. You take a bite of the pancakes Nepgear served up, delicious as always. Neptune begins to make small talk to both you and Histoire while eating.

"So, is Histy feeling better?"

"Yes I am, thank you for your concern Neptune."

You hear Neptune call your name.

"Hey, that's so weird! Every time I try to say your name, it just goes into a description!"

Neptune calls out your name multiple times.

"See! See!"

You see Histoire slam her palm on the table making everything slightly shake, and freezing Neptune in place. "Neptune! How often will you keep making these meta sounding comments?!"

"I'm sorry Histy... I just can't stop myself..."

"Anyway, please let us have breakfast in peace."

Neptune grumbles a bit, but stays relatively quiet for the remainder of breakfast, only making small talk about Planeptune.

"It's so nice that I don't need to do all that boring office work anymore, all the while being strong enough still to fight monsters for quests!"

You hear Histoire sigh, yet keep a smiling face. "Yes, it's quite nice to not worry about the future of this country anymore," you see her give you a knowing smile, "perhaps it is some blessing that you're like this."

"Huh? What do you mean Histy?"

"Don't mind it Neptune."

"Hmm? Did something happen?"

You hear Histoire make an exasperated sigh as an unknown voice ring out in the dining area.

"Nepgeaaar~"

The voice has a slight air of nobility to it, as you hear it once more.

"Nepgear I haven't visited you in more than a week~"

The source of the voice shows itself in the dining area, as a voluptuous blonde beauty. The woman in question has long blonde hair, blue eyes, and wearing an emerald green dress. She definitely has the biggest bust you've seen in recent days, even bigger than Compa's from what you've seen. Her eyes dart around the room looking for Nepgear, until it stops at you, and she begins to move towards you.

"Oh my, my, who is this? Is this a man eating breakfast in Planeptune tower?"

"I, uh," you look at Histoire begging for a clue on what to say.

"Oh? Are you stunned by my beauty?" You see her make her chest bounce slightly.

You hear Histoire cough, and begin to speak on your behalf. "Vert, please, this man is currently our guest, don't frighten him."

Looking at you, she introduces you to Vert, and vice versa. Vert gives you a sweet smile as Histoire finishes the introductions.

"I'm pleased to meet your acquaintance." As you see her extend her hand for a handshake.

"Likewise, Ms Vert." You give her a firm handshake.

"Oh, my... Ms Vert, how polite."

"S-should I call you s-something else?"

"Oh, no. That's quite fine," you see her move closer towards you, her bust pressing on your arm.

Histoire coughs as she sees this and addresses Vert. "Please don't flirt with him, you know better than that to flirt with another nation's guest."

"Oh? But he's quite my type... and perhaps I can give him company..."

Feeling a slight chill in the air, you see Histoire calmly smile, while Vert continues to flirt. You feel Vert press her bust on your arm, trying to entice you, as she continues to speak.

"Come now, I'm sure you'd like to feel more of this, no one in Planeptune could offer this..." You see her give Histoire a look as she finishes her sentence.

The chill in the air begins to manifest itself once more. As if a primal fear in your heart begins to scream, telling you to flee. At this point, you see Neptune suddenly run in terror, taking Nepgear who was peeking into the room with her. What you see before you is indescribable terror by the hand of Histoire. If anything, it's somehow a miracle she never lost her temper towards Neptune like how she is losing it to Vert this very moment. You have absolutely no words to describe what sudden horrors Histoire is unleashing. If there was an apocalypse, it would pale in comparison to this. All you see is the anger, that is Histoire.

In what felt like an eternity later, you see Histoire finally calm down, and Vert foaming in the mouth from sheer shock. Histoire looks at you, and begins to bow and apologize.

"I-I'm sorry you had to see that... I just ... I couldn't just stand there and see her try to take you away from me..."

"That's alright, I appreciate you think of me that way, but is she going to be alright..?"

"Don't worry, she'll be fine."

"Remind me to never anger you..."

"P-please don't think of me that way, I-I just lost my composure there."

"Alright then."

As the calm continues, Neptune and Nepgear return to the dining area, with Nepgear trying to console a suddenly sobbing Vert.

"Nepgeeeaaar~! Histoire is ..."

"Vert, p-please calm down, I'm here, l-let's go out to the veranda, maybe some fresh air and sun will calm you down."

"O-okay..." Vert replies as she continues to sob.

You see the two of them leave, with Nepgear supporting a sobbing Vert on her shoulder. Meanwhile Neptune looks at you and Histoire with an inquisitive look.

"Histy... what was that about, I've never EVER, seen you snap like that before..."

"N-Neptune, of-of course I would be mad, Vert w-was..."

"No, Histy... that was going even further beyond..."

"It must be a byproduct of her fever, her manual said that she would be somewhat emotionally fragile," you interjected.

"Are you sure? That sure didn't sound like something a fever might make..."

Neptune's reply was silence as she continues.

"A-actually if I had to make a comparison it was like one of those scenes in the manga I've read where someone was stealing the main girl's boyfriend.. hahaha..."

You and Histoire quickly look at each other after hearing Neptune's apt observation. Histoire sighs in resignation, as you see Neptune's eyes and mouth widen.

"Wa-wa-wait, Histy, don't tell me... I'm actually right about this?"

"Of all the things, for you to be aptly observant about, it had to be this..."

"S-so, I am right?! Oh my, oh my... so Histy actually has a boyfriend now? And... and," you see her point towards you, "it's you! Isn't it?!"

Histoire moves closer to you and holds your arm as she nods to Neptune. "It seems there's no reason to hide it to you anymore. Yes, he is my boyfriend, and I am his girlfriend."

"Uuuuuu~ Histy, I'm so happy for you! I n-never thought I'd see the day..."

"Neptune... I know you're being sincere right now, but why does it feel somewhat backhanded..."

"D-don't mind that Histy, maybe you two should celebrate for the day! Go on a nice date!"

"Neptune you know that's not possible, the fact he's working here is basically a national secret, he's free to go outside of course, but as long as he's not with any of us."

"O-oh... right."

"Anyway, we both still have plenty of work waiting for us in the office, if you want to celebrate for us, maybe you should look up some work to improve our shares."

"Histy... don't be such a killjoy..."

"We'll just be finishing our breakfast and move onto work."

You and Histoire finish up breakfast shortly as you see Nepgear and Vert return. Vert seems to have calmed down, but she continues to cling on to Nepgear like a scared child as they enter the kitchen area. You see Neptune hop out of her chair and begin to explain the situation to Vert. Her face lights up as Neptune finishes up explanation. Vert lets go of Nepgear and quickly walks towards Histoire and holds her hands with a smile.

"Congratulations Histoire, and I'm very sorry about my behavior a while ago, don't worry I'll keep this secret."

"T-thank you, and sorry for losing my composure as well... I just couldn't just sit still when you were flirting with him..."

Vert lets go of Histoire's hands and points a finger towards you. "And as for you, you've already seen what Histoire can do if she's unhappy, so you better take good care of her."

You quickly nod in response. "O-of course, you can count on me for that."

"You better," she claps her hands together with a smile, "okay, I've had my fill of Nepgear this week, and maybe... perhaps I should find someone for Chika..."

You see Vert walk out of the dining area, give Nepgear a hug along the way, and wave goodbye to everyone. As things settle down once again, Histoire calls out to you.

"Let's go and finish up the paperwork we've left in the office."

"Alright."

Standing up, you follow Histoire to the office, and resume your work with Histoire. You're definitely more than happy that you decided to follow that message that day.
