  1. FALLOUT 3 FAQ
  2.
  3. Q: How are you going through walls?
  4. A: QSQL: What he is doing is quicksaving and quickloading repeatedly, this allows him to clip through certain walls and doors and such. Quickloading allows for a very temporary window where collision detection is not active and can also be used to skip through some uncontrollable dialogue, negate fall damage, and interrupt enemy AI actions (such as attacking you).

  6. Q: Why are you trying to blow up your legs, or fall off a cliff?
  7. A: There's a glitch where you can transfer the speed value given due to broken limbs into a previous status. Since the game is finicky with memory storage, we can abuse it to send information of the players condition to previous save states. My theory is that you have a constant regular speed of 100, and when you are crippled your speed is 70(or some number lower, idk). Anyway, when you become crippled, the game puts your speed to zero and then adds the value of crippled speed. What we can do is skip the step where it sends your speed to zero so it just adds the crippled speed value to the previous state. Nobody knows why this works, and nobody knows if this is or is not the right theory, but it's the best we've got so far in my opinion.

  9. Q: What is the route you take?
  10. A: Any% Route: Escape V101 >> GECK >> Raven Rock >>Jefferson Memorial

  12. Q: World Record?
  13. A: FO3 WR Leaderboards: http://www.speedrun.com/Fallout_3
  14.
  15. Q: Who keeps saying "I guess it was nothing"?
  16. A: Because he left the vault before he even takes the G.O.A.T., he is still not considered to be the "Players age" so instead of using the dialogue that a casual player would hear, an adult male/female, the game gives his character the default NPC random dialogue for things. When he specifically says "I guess it was nothing", it means there was an enemy nearby who was aware of his presence but now can't find him.
