Its more amusing to think Stolas is oblivious to the assassination plot against him.

A declaration that his marriage has sunk so far low that he literally cannot see his wife is openly plotting to murder during dinner. That Octavia has gone so far in shutting out the endless arguments of her parents that she's utterly oblivious to the attempted murder.

That the only person in the household who seemingly actually notices is the imp servant.

Not just that but he's a lonely person, he has a daughter he loves dearly but she doesn't show any kindness back (although she seems to care about him).
He seems to have no friends and just ends up stalking his own workers as an attempt to socialize.

stolas being lonely would be super interesting to explore.
I could imagine being a noble estranges you from most of society and it seems he doesn't like he doesn't enjoy regular noble company. Maybe it's stifling to him.
An episode just following that would be really cool.

This. Having a quiet episode following him around, showing how boring and life-draining his life+marriage+position is, reminising the fun he had being a parent for young Octavia (the only chances he had where he could fool around and not be a Prince 24/7) would be insightgul. And then end it by showing how Blitzø bringes the only passion he got left in his life. I feel that’s the thing that really needes showing: the passion, not the sx. Hell, have Stolas and Stella even done it without it being for the purpose of producing an heir?

The relationship between Stolas and Stella would also be huge there, how did it get so loveless and bitter?
Was it always like that? Was it some sort of political marriage?
Eternity is a long time even for something like marriage. Maybe he's just changed as a person over the millennia or maybe she thought she could change him and he never did.

Stella always stiked me as somewhat Victorian - formal and status minded. Kids are seen, not heard. Classes are to remain divided and aware of their place in society.

I could see her being brought up with this mindset since childhood, and how infuriating she must have been in failing to raise Octavia like that, due to how close ‘tavia and Stolas were. Heck, Stolas may not even have supported her attempts at raising Ovtavia in such a manner, so it’s probable that Stella resent Stolas for his lack of support and now consider HIM the bane of her life. After all, if status and position was all she had left, then Stolas’ fling with Blitzø would really be twisting the knife.

There was never any love to begin with. The children of nobility don't get to date and seek out unions of affection and compatibility. They are told who to marry. Stolas's father, whoever he was, looked over his assets and said
>"Well I have 300 acres of arable land, control of a major river, mineral rights in several provinces, two factories, an indentured servant population of about eighty for my manor grounds, and pieces of art and novelty that could be liquidated into about eighty million at auction, that puts me in a favorable bargaining position when I start negotiating for my son's hand in marriage."
Stella's father said
>"My daughter has been confirmed to be fertile by the finest doctors money can buy. I own a stake in several critical industries all throughout Hell, I draw my servant staff from the children of several lesser noble bloodlines who have sworn fealty to me, and I have recently inherited several tracts of land and a well fortified estate that is quite safe from exterminator angels. Now all that's left is to find someone whom my lineage can profit from to fill in the gaps."
Then they both told their respective offspring
>"I don't give a Heave-blessed rat's ass if you like them or not, you're marrying this fking demon you little shit, your children and your grandchildren will still be profiting off of this union long after you're dead"
And then they got married and fked nonstop until Stella had an egg in the oven because if they didn't produce an heir and seal the deal beyond any revocation they'd get a thorough beating from the top of their crest to the tip of their talon by someone whose only job was to administer whippings.

One thing I really appreciated about this episode was that they finally played around with character anatomy. The imps using their claws/teeth/tails/in Blitzo's case his huge fking horns for once.

I would've liked some catharsis.
It felt as though the episode was going for a "Don't try to be something you're not" theme when Millie told Moxxie to just, like, bee urself bro :^). But then Blitzo stole most of the action and Moxxie's payoff was wasted on a Loona gag. All foreplay and a weak finish.

Pretty much. The whole think paints Moxxie in an entirely negative light and his only redeeming qualities are superficial sht.
Also when the spider is gay amogus.

5 episodes in out of 9 to 12 and only 2 of them have had any semblance of even beginning the plot that the trailer said the show totally has

the show never struck me as having an overarching plot, and until episode 5 that was correct, though the way things are going I would not be surprised if we got some kind of big bad ensemble in the final episode of the season

we also have the stella wanting to kill stolas plotline now

the trailer that they released after the second episode literally stated the show gets really dramatic and becomes a soap opera
sarcastic embellishment or not it was still a promise

if what you took away from the trailer is that the shows going to become some soap opera or some breaking bad tier overarching plot then I think your expectations are misplaced
