Chapter 8

Chapter 8.  Aaaaaa...aaa.... Aaaaaaargh... Get it out of my head. Aaaaargh.

Toast looked up at his opponent, an Asuran Guard followed by about eight Iron Guards. The Iron guards were soldiers that protected the gates of Upper City, now that such gates weren't there anymore , The Iron Guards didn't have that duty anymore. But their function remained the same . To hold the enemy from reaching something. So as Toast went on, he received two kicks , one at his head and one at his stomach. His Awesomeness armor protected him. And then Toast would proceed to stand back up and charge again, only to be assaulted by the same Iron Guards. Dodging the first kick, and then nearly being hit by the second he would , with his palm open fire a straight burst of Awesomeness towards the two Iron Guards. The remaining six rushed in, but Toast was ready. Making a round kick he managed to strike three of the Guards, sending their heads flying before he was assaulted from behind by the Assuran. Teds was in a pinch . After eating a few good punched though, he decided he had gotten bored and then, rising his fist charged full of awesomeness he would proceed to punch the Asuran in the chest, leaving a huge hole through it. The remaining three iron guards tried to Run but Toast blasted one with his Palm Burst, the move he used before , by opening his palm and sending a surge of energy to the enemy. And so, having dealt with this threat, Toast went off to his business. As he was walking off, his path was once more interrupt by three Asurans. Each of them with their weapons out as energy was being poured through them. Said energy , flowing around their bodies would condensify around the armor and as it radiated white light for a moment it disintegrated , revealing the bodies underneath for just a split second, before the white particles formed around them, in their release states. One, to the left had a larger body, a four armed one, and sparkled electricity out of it. It seemed his very build was something strange, his skin blue colored as he charged in. The other one was different. His released state was stranger. He had a white mask over his face and his armour had grown also white, and bone like. Carrying two swords in each hand, he advanced as well. The third was different. He had grown several tentacles out of his armor, and his body was covered by a strange green mist. Said tentacles burst in, while Toast simply made a round kick, and sent the attacks back, before proceeding to slide to the left and charge a sphere of awesomeness, and then release it. The ever rotating sphere as the speed it had , missed the left Asuran but hit the central one, with the bone armor. Grinding it off, it made its way past it and exploded, killing the Asuran with ease. The other two charged in, But Toast was ready. In a burst of his speed, he covered himself in the Awesomeness cloak and proceeded to claw at their direction. The claw movement was amplified in a massive, burst of awesomeness taking four diagonal lines , just like the claw, and cut apart the tentacled Asuran, whilst the last one proceeded to rush in and attempt to pummel Toast with his fists. It had failed. The cloak of Awesomeness had protected Toast and the punches hurt more to the Asuran than him. After that, Toast had his arm go back and then with all the strength and awesomeness he could, punch the Asuran who ended up with a massive hole right through the left side of his chest , before his entire body exploded.  Toast re absorbed the awesomeness he used and proceeded to walk back home. Luna and Ild hopefully had had a successful day as well. Sonne... Nah, Toast knew Sonne would make it.

With Sonne. He had been running off from a huge gang of Iron Guards, about 60 of them, which were lead by a large Asuran, with ten arms. Said Asuran would have ran after Sonne, once he saw him taking aim at the top of a building , hoping to chop its head off. While the Asuran had great eyesight and awareness, his speed wasn't that impressive as he ordered the Iron Guards to go after him. Yet , such a large band of them... Could Sonne make it. Basically, he did end about 10 of them from a distance as they were running for him, by spamming massive beams of awesomeness, but then they were reaching him so he had to run.  Sonne run as the Iron Guards were catching up. He managed to turn left and make a shot, which destroyed a platform , holding up several tubes which fell on the guards and obscured their vision. Having been well hidden, Sonne could for now plan his strike. Charging up a whole lot of awesomeness he fired it in a spherical shape, and then another, and then another. The three spheres hit in crowds of Iron Guards taking out at least twenty before they could notice, which they did.. Quickly. Jumping, abnormally high for a,l human standards, and... Considering they were in heavy armor. Sonne could only make time for hi self to run, out of the place he had chosen, the balcony of the building in which the platform with the tubes were. In his moment of safety he had managed to find the entrance and enter the building, before making it to the third floor. And from there he run back the way he would, to normally get out, except he didn't take the stairs. He just blasted a hole in the wall
 In front of him and jumped down, and there he charged his gun. While the Iron Guards , quickly went to see the hole he fired, taking out 4 of them in one hit, and as more come to see what had occurred, he took out five more in another. Now there were about 20 enemy Iron Guards. They had located Sonne who charged his gun and fires several rounds, taking down more and more of the guards, but they had come to a close. Then Sonne had no choice but to activate his awesomeness cloak and go kick ass. As he charged towards the flock of Iron Guards, he made a punch like movement in the air, which was replicated by a massive awesomeness punch in front of him, taking out five guards, then sliding back he channeled awesomeness through his gun as it became especially large and fired it, the beam at first taking only two soldiers, but as the beam moved to the left , more were falling. Some tried to run, but as Sonne deactivated his technique, he managed to fire and take most of them out, now there were only four or five remaining guards. Sonne went on, and using several Awesomeness charges picked them off , one by one. Now there seemed to be no more threats until.. The loud noise of those steps was heard. The Asuran from before was coming in, as if he were dragging his armor instead. Little did Sonne know of the true nature of this threat. The giant Asuran would walk towards Sonne, as our hero, in all of his confidence would have gathered a huge amount of Awesomeness in his weapon and proceeded to fire it off, in a straight beam. The Asuran moved his arms, too quickly for what Sonne had seen of him and had their palms point towards one single area, the small circle which the beam would go through to hit him, and as the beam did, it suddenly stopped, and collected the awesomeness coming from behind, into a sphere. And this sphere moved up and was absorbed in the Asuran's mouth. And right after that, he fired another beam, much bigger, which reached Sonne in a moment and enflamed him. Had it not been for his coat of awesomeness, Sonne would have perished.  And so, he fired many more awesomeness explosive bullets , only for these ones to be absorbed as soon as they came close, and after a certain number was fired, Karma unleashed his other beam. Like the first this went for Sonne who ran to the side, all he could, as the beam moved after him, before it ran out of energy and stopped. Sonne took a chance to catch his breath before the Asuran would raise all of his arms and slam them to the ground simultaneously. A small earthquake followed as Sonne found himself in the ground. The Asuran was coming closer as Sonne managed to stand up. Now, too close to run or shoot, Sonne could only fight. Charging his body with awesomeness he proceeded to kick and punch several times, to no avail as he received a mighty punch to his face, which would have sent him flying to the left, had a punch from the opposite direction occurred, and then one in the front, which at last sent Sonne down, lying in the ground.  He had been wounded, his bones shattered, but his will.. His will would never falter.

Standing up, while awesomeness poured through him, Sonne tried to fight off. But it was failing. He received one more punch before being sent to the ground, yet.. The awesomeness cloak didn't go down. In one second it did , in the contrary burst up, as it radiated light, before Sonne was now, completely healed, his hair flying up by some force, and so were his clothing, he hi self had levitated. The awesomeness cloak had expanded as golden bursts of energetic flame emitted from all around him.
"Impossible"-Said the Asuran in a muffled voice.
"Impossible? Do not make me laugh. Impossible is just the next step for me. Learn this. There is no one mightier, or more masterful in the art of awesomeness than me. THE ALMIGHTY SONNEMUZ"-he finished by yelling his name and self assigned title at the top of his lungs, before vanishing, and reappearing behind the Asuran and kicking him. The kick made the Asuran move slightly forward, whilst the following punched and kicks pushed him even more, his amour had been slightly damaged as he went on with retaliating. Two punched from the Asuran didn't even bother Sonne as much as they did before as he stood up quickly, giving one more cry of battle, as the wounds healed before summoning, out of the thin air, two , larger replicas of his rifle, which transformed into bazooka like weapons, as he proceeded to fire multiple awesomeness beams.
"This is... The power of awesomeness. Feel it"-he finished, as the Asuran now had his armor completely down. Beneath was, a fat man, carrying a small hammer. And right then the man , with a line of blood streaming from his left side of the mouth, would laugh and then burp. The burp was so large, the walls of the buildings nearby shook and so did the ground. Sonne had levitated so he did only feel the wind go past him and the horrible stench.
"You have gone against the almighty Karma, High Asuran Guard of his greatness, Dr.Sonnemuz. Fall to my feet and pray, for your soul shall otherwise be digested by the fires of hell"-he said, while the stomach of said man got thinner, his clothes much more baggy, but his hammer got larger, while several circles made of strange glowing green letters formed around it at several spots.  Before Sonne could say anything, the hammer expanded immediately and was flung to his direction, which then had him fly off through the nearby building, which he used for hiding before. Sonne stood up. His awesomeness slowly faltering, he realized.. It was now futile. Before he had a chance but now. But Karma wasn't done. His own body now surrounded by the runes, grew back to fatness, and now... Karma was continuing to grow. His arms, his legs, his belly, his entire body was growing, as it was in a few moments well over 60 meters tall. He proceeded to grow further... 100, 200, 300 meters tall, while the hammer also followed the same growth. Grinning for a second, the normally small and barely heard sound, now being enough to cause someone's ears burst out of place, he let his hammer down on Sonne, but... In a flash of cyan light, someone appeared, he was tall, somewhat thin, his build not very muscular, yet still, it had a few traces of being toned. He wore a wide, dark blue outfit, with one arm left out of the sleeve, and hanging out, awhile he wore a straw hat of sorts , and in his hand, a sword. This sword had its blade translucent, as if made of glass. Rising the sword, so it pointed at the hammer, he waited the fall of the gargantuan weapon. However, the weapon was stopped once it made contact with the glass tip. Something.. An unquantifiable force, an invisible hand didn't let the giant hammer smash the many times smaller weapon. The man would then move his leg a bit back and then kick upwards with it, said leg charged with some form of energy, a cyan blue colored aura covering it (the leg) , moving the tip of the blade for a second , kicked the hammer, sending most of the hammer's head flying, while he proceeded to send his right arm to the right, as it was the ine with the sword, now of course, placed horizontally, whilst awesomeness, as Sonne would feel was put in motion. The air around the area they were got extremely heavy for a moment, and then was about to stop, Sonne could feel awesomeness leaving him, but his masterful ability let him keep some to himself, rip it from the rest of the flow, as the man spoke. His voice was... Rather high. The tone seemed calm, and it had become clear to Sonne, he was someone with a low tone, but this once it was echoing. A loud echo, heard even by Karma.
"Ariadne Arkwell. I seek only your glass blade, nothing more. If you are willing to hand it over peacefully , I shall not harm you"-he said. Had he moved the straw hat from his eyes, he could see, the man facing him was unlikely to be Ariadne Arkwell.
Karma heard that, and was put to thought. What the heck did this man want with Ari's weapon? How did he stop his hammer, and how did he knock it off so easily. What was he? And how did he absorb all of that awesomeness.
"Err... I am not her. Ari is currently somewhere, I don't know where. I am Karma, High Asuran Guard"-he said, confused.
The man lifted his hat and looked up to see Karma.
"Oh. You have the same title. Mind telling me where she is?"-he said.
"I already told you, I don't know"-Karma said, slightly annoyed.
"Sorry. Must have missed it. Ah.. Nevermind, continue the battle?"-he said, lowering the hat, as Karma nodded. Right there, he charged a whole lot of energy in his fist and yelled "Asuran Arms: Soul Eater Palm" , and as the fist descended, he opened it into a palm. Sonne was going to die. The massive palm, the massive enemy.. The stranger couldn't make it. Even if he did, how could he overcome the a,mighty Sonnemuz, no.. This could 't be.. This couldn't be. He had to stand up and fight. And then from that small piece of awesomeness, a massive amount of it emerged, and Sonne entered his stronger form again, flying forward and releasing a flurry of punches at the giant palm, and in a few of them, the energy output from the palm was lessening. Then.. The man would have had his hand carrying the sword move vertically up and lower it as a slash of awesomeness was produced. Said slash grew, and grew.. And grew. It had become big enough by the time it reached Karma's body as it split him in half, and right after that the two pieces exploded. The air was then suddenly filled with the awesomeness collected before, and the man vanished in a small flash of cyan light.

Luna and Ild were running from the Asurans and Iron Guards chasing them. Karma's massive  size had riddled them for a second, but they didn't have much time to think about it.  They were cornered and without much options. The 20 Iron Guards and the two Asurans had them. It was time to fight. Ild quickly entered hyper combat as the few Iron guards found themselves slashed in half , while Luna charging her fists with flames rushed in and lunched an Asuran severak times, before taking a deep breath. As she did, the other Asuran punched her in the stomach which resulted in her releasing the breath into a deadly storm of flames, incinerating the two Asurans. And there, they looked as Sonne was coming towards them. He was bleeding and was hurt somewhat, but other than that he seemed fine.
"I see you ran into some trouble yourself. "-Ild said, with Sonne laughing bitterly. Ild had no idea, what he had been through.
"So.. Now that we are all here, should we go back and meet up with Toast?"-Luna proposed, before being responded by a familiar voice.
"What were you saying?"-Asked Toast, a smile on his face.
"Ah well. We are all here. What now?"-Ild asked, clearly bored.
"There is.. A certain group of Asurans called High Guards"-Sonne explained-"And there is at least two. Well, one now. As we killed one of them, one named Karma . He was fairly large. And.. He got larger. "-he said, as Luna and Ild finally figured what the giant had been.
"And you defeated him? On your own?"-Toast said surprised.
"I got some help, by a mysterious stranger, with a blade made of glass. He looked another blade. And there is where I got the other High Guard. Her name is Ariadne Arkwell and she carries a glass sword"-he said, as Toast was deep into thought, he spoke shortly afterwards.
"Ariadne Arkwell. She has a red Asuran armor, with no extensive weaponry or arms. So do the few that have met her said. She commands certain flames that consume everything on their path"-Toast finished, with Ild hearing, surprised.
"I did chance upon her in the city, she was the one who brought me to that wounded state you found me in. Aaargh, guess we will have to deal with her again"-he said, now less bored, but more annoyed.
"Her.. And the rest of the High Guards, if there are any" -Sonne finished.
