  1. Gren back to t3
  2.
  3. Gren is ok but it sturggles with item choices and the 4 move slot syndrome. It wants to do so much and is capable of doing so much but you can only bring a certain set. Scarf is a good revenge killer and fast momentum gainer but with really poor attack and special attack it doesnt pack the punch. LO or ebelt gren can hit harder but its ability and poor offensive stats makes it good versus offense but not be able to break through fatter things. It does have some nice tech like spikes/tspikes but the introduction of defog move tutor makes it so most teams have 2-4 hazard removers. Also compared to some of the mons in t2. Both gyarados and crawdaunt(not biased please no hate) have better offensive pressure and ability to set up. Even kingdra is better imo since it can help itself sweep with rain dace+swift swim or ddance and its typing and stats overall are way better to take hits. In t3 it gives us a nice nieche compared to other offensive mons since it doesnt require prior set up to do its set out job. Its not even the best offensive water in t3 since imo primarina outshines it with more pure power and a better typing AND ability to be more bulkier and act as a bulky water, so valuable in dl. To conclude i beleive that in t2 gren wont be picked because its not worth the 120 points or the t2 slot and in t3 it offers the coaches a solid mon to help them.
