HAS BEEN CARMELLA CAN'T WIN

Dear Chair of Selection Committee,

I believe you have compromised the integrity of the selection process for Troy Mayor by your support of negative comments made by Kevin McCashion on April 10, 2015 regarding me personally and my potential candidacy for Troy Mayor. Mr. McCashion, as you are aware is an active member of the John Birch Society, a right wing zealot, a misogynist, and also has made negative comments about a black candidate for Mayor.

On April 10th on three different occasions when Mr. McCashion attacked me personally and my potential candidacy for mayor, you gave a thumbs up to these comments on his facebook page. On April 14th in response to my concerns you advised me that you "liked" Mr. McCashion's negative posts. Posts that are all inclusive of derogatory and negative comments about women, blacks, and other people.

It is quite evident that prior to the scheduled interviews for mayor beginning on Monday, April 20th, you are biased against me by your actions publicly supporting negative attacks on my character and potential candidacy.

I would submit as Troy GOP leader, your affinity for Mr. McCashion and his John Birch philosophy will lead to the demise of the Troy GOP in the upcoming election. The John Birch philosophy should be rejected by the Troy GOP and not accepted. Therefore, I must advise you I will not attend any candidate selection committee under your direction.

You, as Chair of the City GOP Committee, should publicly renounce Kevin McCashion and his politics of hate. This has no place in Troy.
