  1. IT'S ESME CRAFTING TIME. Fun things to keep in mind: She can craft things for you too! Just give her $$$. Or shards. Both.
  2.
  3. Basically going to have her craft some "Essence Gates" to serve as her equipment for the forseeable future. Basically going to be like those bracelets HG/SS Sabrina has (see: https://cs.sankakucomplex.com/data/d4/73/d473c964fd5ea6520c24f275d4a99a8a.png?4137226 ), but sliiiightly less bulky, and with two more as anklets/another as a choker. Using by-the-book Alchemy (pg 40 GoT) for integrating the Plates as shard-tech, but will gladly make adjustments if needed:
  4.
  5. Essence Gate: Unleash
  6. Base: [Small Fine Foot Melee: +1 DB +1 AC]
  7. Catalyst: Ground Plate [Simple Ground Move, Ground-related Ability]
  8. Extras: 3x Ground Gems [Simple tier-> Fine tier Move]
  9. Effects: Mud Bomb [Move], Mud Dweller or Arena Trap[Ability]
  10.
  11. Essence Gate: Repel
  12. Base: [Heavy Armor: +10 Damage Reduction, -1 Speed CS]
  13. Catalyst: Steel Plate [+5 DR vs Everything Except Fire/Water/Electric/Fighting/Ground/Ghost/Dark]
  14. Extras: None
  15. Effects: Iron Barbs [Ability]
  16.
  17. Essence Gate: Absorb
  18. Base: [Heavy Shield: +2 Eva, Ready for +6 Eva/15 DR, but become Slowed.]
  19. Catalyst: Bug Plate [Once/Scene, Resist Grass/Fighting/Ground move by 1 step, Bug-Related Ability]
  20. Extras: None
  21. Effects: Shield Dust [Ability]
  22.
  23. Notes:
  24. [Unleash] Gonna use the Feet-Weapons option described on page 287, as Small Melee, but also increase the AC by 1. Mud Bomb's a DB7, AC 4, At-Will Range 6 that lowers accuracy on 16+, on the low end of that 7-10 range for a Fine move, but gives coverage. Kick mud/poison at people, just like back in the swamp! Plates as a Catalyst give an Ability, in this case was looking at either Mud Dweller (Resist Ground/Water by 1 Step) or Arena Trap (Slows enemies within 5 meters if they can't fly/did) which are thematically appropriate, but open to other suggestions.
  25.
  26. [Repel]: HEAVY ARMOR. Esme wants to be the person who gets hit. Or rather, get hit and not care. Fluffwise it's an extension of the shield, more of a force field than actual heavy gear. Steel plate gives an additional +5 DR vs alot of things, and an ability comes with. In this case went with Iron Barbs, which as reaction can cause a Melee attacker to lose a Tick of HP. Blam!
  27.
  28. [Absorb]: It's a shield! She's been using an "Essence" shield for awhile now, same as before. Using Bug Plate and taking the "resist once a scene" option. Once again, Plate gives an Abilitiy, this time I opted for Shield Dust, which ignores secondary effects that trigger on Accuracy rolls. Admittedly, pretty strong! But fits for a weird energy shield. Again, open for suggestions/tuning.
  29.
  30. Overall: Didn't add extras to the two non-weapons (though I have the resources) mostly because… the book actually doesn't list any options for gems and non-weapons. This is pretty much all I'd be planning on making for the rest of forever, unless I could finagle a Mega Ring/Stat Booster combo whenever we get to that kind of stuff, or some other element you introduce comes around. This is it. That said, I would gain like, 3 Abilities out of this, but won't be gaining any from any classes/other sources afaik. Ultimately also spending a fair bit of resources, too. Anyway, lemme know if this is too much going on, or if I should eaaaase into it at the very least. Also, suggestions for Extras/alternatives are gladly welcome.
