  1. With the nicest will in the world, for me it's because H3VR has great mechanics but is not a great game.

  3. When I play it, the feeling it generates is the same one I get when I'm on the cusp of finishing a game's most indepth tutorial level. You can master all the reloads and trick shots but when it comes to applying them, there just isn't much content. Most of the levels that have gamification in the form of win/lose conditions are modelled after Kill Houses, which by design are as non-descript as possible. It means the maps are as minimalist as SuperHot but with none of the style. The modes feel like minigames, things that would be tacked on to the main game as a bonus rather than the main event.

  5. The gun manipulation is well done on a technical level. Put it this way, flipping an ingame switch to activate something is a mechanic. Flipping a switch to solve a puzzle to escape a room is a game.
