  1. [00:50] Ophelia cos Montclaire asks, "Right. So - where were we?"
  2. [00:51] Kofe says, "We reiforced the claw to make it into the body of this bass lute."
  3. [00:51] Kofe says, ".. Reinforced."
  4. [00:52] Kofe says, "We still have to figure out how we'll use that dragon scale."
  5. [00:52] Kofe asks, "What do you think?"
  6. [00:57] Ophelia cos Montclaire says, "Ah."
  7. [00:57] Ophelia cos Montclaire says, "I just created Dragon-forged Arcanium for Walter's blade, perhaps I could do something of a similar thing for the Lute."
  8. [00:58] Kofe says, "What do you have in mind? You're the expert."
  9. [01:03] Ophelia thought some upon that prospect, finger tapping against her chin in idle thought before offering a nod.
  10.
  11. "We can hammer in the dragonscale onto the metal and the claw itself. It should work out; we just need to heat the metal up."
  12. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [01:05] Kofe nodded to that thought. It wasn't too complicated and the scale's magic was bound to affect the lute, right? It'd make the lute even harder to destroy, too. That Wraith really had made a number on Kofe.
  16.
  17. Pulling both the reinforced claw and the dragon scale out, the young man brought them to the nearby table, setting them down, ready to be manipulated.
  18.
  19. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
  20. (Kofe)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [01:19] She shook her head, moving over to the table as he removed both the dragon scale and the reinforced claw. Heating it up if Walter had been here wouldn't have been an issue, but neither her nor Kofe knew fire magic so it'd make things a little bit more difficult.
  24.
  25. But nothing she couldn't simply work around.
  26.
  27. Moving the claw over to the forge itself, the anvil was situated overtop of it thankfully. And now the heat was turned up, allowing that previously cooled metal to become alight with a liquid like state again. It wasn't enough to make it melt, but just enough to soften it up for the dragonscale. Placing the scale overtop the claw the effort of beating it effectively into the soft mixture of nyeshk and mythril began.
  28.
  29. Ophelia hammered away, speaking up to Kofe.
  30.
  31. "Not really. If you were a fire magi then yes but as it stands I should be fine now since I've already done this once."
  32. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. [01:22] Kofe nodded towards the woman as he watched her heat everything up and hammer things away. It wasn't a complicated process thus far, but it did require knowing how much things had to be heated up and how far those degrees had to be taken to.
  36.
  37. For now, Kofe decided to strike some idle conversation while she hammered away.
  38.
  39. "I think I'll owe you a song when it's all done."
  40. (Kofe)
  41. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  42.
  43. [01:31] His statement regarding owing her a song once it's all done has her cock her head as she continued striking at the now hot dragonscale against the hot metal.
  44.
  45. "It isn't a huge deal," She said gently with a shake of her head. "A song isn't required for me doing something I rather enjoy, at the end of the day." She admitted. The hammer continued to pound away at the dragonscale proper over and over again. For quite a while it appeared as if her work had absolutely no results to them, until finally, the scale seemed to embed itself into the molten metal.
  46.
  47. It was a painfully slow process and one which forced Ophelia to hammer away delicately and precisely to ensure every square inch of it was absorbed by the Nyeshk-Mythril mixture, which wasn't something she was precisely keen on, to tell the truth but! It needed to be done.
  48. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  49. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  50.
  51. [01:36] "Then I'll just have to play you something. You know, test it all out at the very least."
  52.
  53. Perhaps writing something new was a bit much, she was right, but letting her see what she'd been able to create? That was definitely worth it, right? It had to be.
  54.
  55. Kofe's eyes followed the hammer as it kept pounding further and further into the scale, allowing it to meld with the metal at last. Even precise taps had to be given; this wasn't something Kofe could've done on his own, evidently.
  56. (Kofe)
  57. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  58.
  59. [01:53] Ophelia's head twisted to look at the Rhoynish over her shoulder briefly, a pause in her hammering.
  60.
  61. "That makes sense, I suppose," She admitted. It really did; they had to test it to make sure it was precisely what they had hoped to attain, after all. Her head turned back forward, and using a pair of tongs, the claw was carefully turn onto it's side, Ophelia going back to hammering the dragonscale upon one side.
  62.
  63. Once more, it was a lengthy and drawn out process and it was only once she had been able to do both sides did she remove it from the heat. The chill within the air was further amplified by the woman's mastery over ice, allowing the dragonscale to cool within the Nyeshk and Mythril - resulting in... What?
  64.
  65. A dragonforged crab claw? Crazy.
  66. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  67. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  68.
  69. [01:58] An unlikely combo for sure. A surf 'n' turf of two very distant animals. A dragonforged crab claw was being cooled off like it had been the last time the alloy was made to strengthen it. Kofe remained quiet as the room became once again colder than he could really appreciate. A shiver came and a smile followed.
  70.
  71. It certainly had some flair of its own. The kind that made Kofe feel like he was a rockstar already, despite not quite being there yet.
  72.
  73. ".. This is good."
  74. (Kofe)
  75. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  76.
  77. [02:09] Once everything was complete, Ophelia turned towards the Rhoynish now.
  78.
  79. "Right. What was next, again?" She questioned. It was hard to keep up with making two in-depth weapons at once, so to speak.
  80. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [02:21] Kofe thought for a moment before he spoke up.
  84.
  85. "The strings. Most likely. We can do them now or later."
  86. (Kofe)
  87. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  88.
  89. [02:22] "Ah, yes. The strings! It's up to you, I'm down for continuing if you wish unless you want to finish it up later?" She questioned now.
  90. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [02:23] Kofe says, "I think we can save that one for later. It's getting late."
  94. [02:23] Kofe exclaims, "I'll catch you later, though!"
