BACKGROUND :
	+ nara was born the youngest of three and the only female (excluding her mom of course) in her household, which meant she lived her life constantly on guard due to fear of being attacked by her older brothers. she learned how to adapt very quickly thanks to their merciless roughhousing, which is a trait that would be crucial to her in the future. nara was quite popular in school due to her easygoing and friendly personality. she was involved in a lot of extracurricular activities and never really took her academics too seriously, only making grades that were high enough to please her parents. despite not really seeing herself as a leader, nara often found herself in leadership-type positions, most likely because of her outgoing demeanor. she was captain of the volleyball team in high school and even president of the student council. she quickly became an expert on juggling all her obligations and still managing to get a decent amount of sleep (sometimes).

	+ she discovered her love of music and performing at 12 years old, when her father brought her to the set of a music video he was directing. shortly after that, she was scouted by an sm agent due to her tall height. though skeptical at first, nara's parents ultimately allowed her to audition on the circumstance that she at least be able to finish her studies and graduate high school as her top priority with training only on the side. as a trainee, the others would often baby her due to her young age, without even knowing that she had been there way longer than them. though she had little to no experience with singing and dancing, nara worked diligently to improve and did her best to hold her own against the more experienced trainees. as she grew older and the lineup for crescent slowly became a reality, the other members were quite surprised when it was announced nara would be leader. for one, she was apart of the maknae line and her flippant temperament really didn't suit the leader role. even though she was surprised too, nara quickly stepped up to the plate and shouldered the big responsibility - in her own strange, extremely unconventional way.

PERSONALITY :

	+ upon first impressions, most people would assume nara was the maknae. she's frivolous and even a little bit immature at times. instead of telling the others to not make bad decisions, nara is usually the one making the bad decisions. she can be reckless, willing to go to any extent for the joke, and her image is practically non-existent. she's not very parental and often has to be parented by the other members herself. nara gets a lot of hate for being so lacking in leadership qualities but it usually never gets to her. she's extremely positive and always has a bright outlook on life, which can be helpful or annoying at times. she has a very strong mentality and can brush off things that could make someone spiral downward as if they're nothing. she stands tall like an iron wall, which is one of the reasons why she was appointed leader. nara is also very quick to adapt to unexpected situations. her already go-with-the-flow personality paired with her ability to switch gears quickly has saved crescent many a times. despite how she acts, nara uses her brain more than you would think. she's extremely observant and does her best to accommodate for what the other members can't do or feel uncomfortable with. she likes to exaggerate for the dramatics, but if something is actually wrong, she will be the quietest one and you will practically hear the gears turning in her head. she has more leadership skills than she lets on, but you have to look closely.

	+ nara is very athletic and VERY competitive, almost to an irritating extent. she HATES losing and will waste hours and hours of her time to make sure she doesn't ever again. most of the time, she doesn't because she takes everything as a serious competition and the other members know better than to challenge her. she is also very confident and jokingly arrogant (well, only half-jokingly) in her skills. she's worked hard and LONG to get to where she is now and has no problem showing/announcing that. the other members can't really say anything because a) it's true and b) nara has had the longest trainee period out of all of them. she is a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to performing and really takes it to heart when she messes up, especially when she knows all of her errors will be scrutinized by the media. even though she takes the weight of being leader pretty well, nara is still very young and that youth will sometimes show in the way she handles things. she uses her insatiable positivity as a shield at times and has trouble letting it go and acknowledging her true feelings. even after debuting, nara still doesn't really believe she was the correct choice as leader and hides her insecurity away, knowing she can't be the one to have doubts since she's crescent's foundation.

	+ coincidentally, a couple of days after going on set of the music video, nara was just out grocery shopping with her mom and was spotted by an sm talent scout. the scout thought nara was much older due to her height and told her to audition for sm, which made her ecstatic. after begging her parents and having them reluctantly agree (with the help of her brothers), nara auditioned and was accepted.

STAGE PERSONA :
	+ nara is the queen of Duality. when she's on stage, she gives off that fierce leader vibe. she knows how to work the camera and her live vocals are stable. unlike her normal self, nara rarely ever cracks a smile on stage. since she's so tall, she also just sticks out in general. the difference between her onstage and offstage will give you whiplash.

SCANDAL(S) :
	+ when nara was revealed to be crescent's leader, the group was met with a lot of criticism and still does from angry knetz, but most of the general public has gotten used to it now.

	+ nara thought he was cute - like someone you just wanted to dote on. also, he's younger than her which made her really happy. she thought of him as more of the innocent and serious type but was quite wrong.

HOW DO THEY ACT AROUND EACH OTHER :

	+ BEG - at first, the two don't really speak much since they both have the wrong impression of each other. however, after traveling for a while and getting to know each other, they start to see each others true colors and click almost instantly. the two become partners-in-crime and are notorious for fucking shit up. the others all have to sleep with one eye open because no one knows who nara and donghyuck's next victim will be.

	+ MID - at this point, they are basically a package deal for trouble. constantly messing around with others and each other, chaos follows them wherever they go. nara would probably say that donghyuck is her best friend, other than her members of course, and vice versa for him. they are always bickering with each other but it's usually over something small, and they really just do it because they think it's fun to argue. they habitually roast each other and call each other nasty names, though it's all in good spirit. they tend to make a competition out of everything they do, since both are so competitive, much to everyone else's chagrin. though neither of them are ever really serious with each other, they can tell when either person isn't feeling it and will try their best to cheer them up.

	+ END - it's very obvious that they like each other but neither of them seem to realize it. they still mess around and tease each other, but there's a strange tension between them now. stolen glances, arm touches that last a little longer than they used to, hours and hours of talking on the phone, etc. nara is a little more aware of her feelings than him, but like she always does, she hides her feelings away and acts like they don't exist. donghyuck is being always told off by his other members for being so "obvious about it" and that the fans will catch on if he just openly stares at her all the time, but he's an idiot so he doesn't get it.
