The market for spireshards was lucrative, without a doubt. It also made them costly while still being very, very hard to find. She'd used her resources from time in the Crafthold to feel along the pulse of the lesser known and more disreputable markets.

Did she enjoy it? No. Did it serve a means to an end? Of course. Ever practical was Ohtli.

Her metaphorical feelers had been set out in hunt for one of the shards. While she had the coin ready and waiting the chore then came with finding someone willing to sell such a hot commodity. When not sending out letters or researching she hunts the back stalls of not only the Crafthold, but the markets in outlying cities- Gehenna, Deseti and, with care, even Dawn.
