  7.
  8. A wood nymph famous in the northern lands for their fox-like tails and ears, sometimes referred to as a skosgra or hulder by the locals. Their beauty is alluring and otherworldly, often times bewitching men and young boys who gaze upon them. Through hearsay, men will often compliment them on their appearance in hopes for a blessing during hunts or fishing.
  9.
  10. Though they appear most like the Kitsune of the far east, they have a physical characteristic that distinguishes them from true beast-men. Between their shoulder blades on their back, there is a growth similar to a tree knot. The bark at first will appear gnarled and ancient, the hole having no end as if the Huldra were hollow from the inside. Despite this, they still pursue the affections of human men for their spiritual energy and companionship.
  11.
  12. Each Huldra possesses a strange, if not sometimes chaotic, magic. Rather than manipulate the world around them using spirit or demon energy similar to the Elementals or Magi, their magic manipulates probability. If they find a man they like, they can bestow their blessing upon his rifle or bow so that it will never miss. This is a double-edged sword of its own, however, as many times the man will continue to seek her out. For the price of such a blessing is the loss of the sport itself. In this way, the Huldra can assure the man will return to her.
  13.
  14. When the Huldra takes the lead during sex, they will be wary of their lover's hands on their upper body. She will take great measures to ensure that her partner does not discover the wooded knot on her back. Their minds will fill with thoughts of the disgust or fear a man would show to the hollowed hole between their shoulders. A man who notices this may make it a game of trying to feel her back while her hips bounce against his, the soft pliant flesh of her bosom almost irresistible to the touch. Her mating would become more frenzied, due to her inferiority complex, until finally, the hands of the man she'd accepted into her heart feel the wooded knot.
  15.
  16. Strangely, the sensation of a lover's touch or lips causes a surge of extra-sensory stimulation for the Huldra, and will often result in her orgasm. Sensing a new game can be played, she will often time be embraced from behind like an animal, her new husband caressing and kissing the strangely enticing hole in her back. This will awaken her desires as a monster, and her body will desperately try to bear the man's children and milk him of spirit energy as they continue to rut through the night like beasts.
  17.
  18. It should be cautioned however that unsolicited comments about the gnarled wood around the knot or the touch of a man the Huldra does not enjoy the presence of will be seen as an insult to her. Often times, the demure and waifish faces of the Huldra will twist into one of disgust and violation as she curses him with bad luck. Men who befall this fate often times profusely seek her forgiveness, or find their own happiness in marriage to more unsightly monsters.
  19.
  20. After marriage, a Huldra will move into human settlements with her husband, taking on the wifely duties of the house. She will live her days out as his beloved, often times proudly displaying her fox-like ears and tail. Despite this, the Huldra's knot is for the eyes of her husband and children alone. The wood twisted from old, gnarled bark into something smooth and supple and pleasant to the touch and lips.
