Anja sighed as she lowered her body into the steaming hot bath, relaxing her stiff muscles as much as possible. She couldn't understand why Alina hated baths so much, and especially the royal baths. But this was fine as well. It would be more relaxing to bathe by herself without having to wrangle Alina as well. After a few minutes of initial relaxation she leaned over the edge to reach for a towel, giving her back a stretch in the process. She really had hit the jackpot with this job. Consistent pay. Room and board provided. Free roam around the castle. No dealing with idiot merchants. It felt too good to be true.

Wandering into the baths, Bella paused just long enough to kick her long boots off into a corner of the changing hall, before heading deeper in, shedding clothing as she went. She barely gave herself enough time to fling her garments into the same vague corner as her boots, before she hooked a finger into the pile of towels to fish one out. She flung the towel over her shoulder and entered the warm baths, otherwise wearing just her hat.

Leaving the towel in a puddle of dry cloth next to the water, she slipped in with a sigh herself, sliding down into the water, dipping low, until just her nose and eyes peeked out from the wide brim on her head. After a moment she even closed her eyes, breathing deep from her nose, and just... let her thoughts... drift. She had had a busy last few days, her mind had been all churned up lately, and... she just need to chill for a moment.

Just... be cool.

Cheyenne too walked to the women's bath. It was a long day trying to keep her master from dying like normal and she needed a long soak. She took off her suit and undergarments and folded them neatly in a corner. Grabbing a towel she tied it across her body and walked noiseless into the room. Seeing two other people there she smiled and bowed.
"Ah, I did not expect some others to be here at this time. Would you mind if I join you two?"

Alright, so... sis didn't seem too mad, so I guess that means- "-wha-!"

Bella popped up to the surface of the water, coughing and sputtering as she swept her hat off with one hand and held it up instinctively, the other pushing herself to the surface to allow herself to breath properly.

Opening her eyes, Bella glanced around half in anger, surprised to see two other people in the bath with her.

"...Oi. Chey. Don't sneak up on me like dat! I almost drowned!"(edited)

Anja opened a single eye to acknowledge the 2 that joined the bath. One looked like the one that had initially recruited her, but the other she had never seen.

“Sure, I don’t mind.”

She gave the loud one a second look over, feeling like something was off. Maybe Anja was just tired, she didn’t know either of them that well anyways.

Cheyenne slipped off her towel and slipped into the bath, flipping her hair tie out and slipping her hair from her ponytail to have it rest on her shoulders. She smiled and cracked her neck as she rubbed her shoulder.
"Ahh, a warm bath feels so good. Normally I wait till everyone is done with the bath before I slip in but its been a long day..."

Bella shrugged, taking a moment to settle back down. She then took a corner of the towel and dipped it in the water, using it to scrub her hat while holding it up with the other.

"I just get down 'ere when I gots time, ya know? I don't really plan it or nothin', I don't really mind who's down 'ere or whateva."
Bella looked up for a moment on her hat cleaning task, seeing the third girl in the bath. "'ey dere, who is you? I don't tink I recognize ya from the castle whereva...?"(edited)

Anja raised an incredulous eyebrow as she watched the girl wash her hat. She didn’t want to be rude but, that was a weird thing to do.

“I’m Anja, one of the new kingsguard.”

She considered extending an arm to shake, but considering that they were in the bath it might have been a bit weird. She definitely wasn’t the one that recruited her. Perhaps an older sister?

Cheyenne peered at Anja before closing her eyes and sinking a bit down in the waters.
"A new recruit? Well, it's a bit awkward meeting you here but welcome aboard. My name is Cheyenne, I am one of the Kingsguard only by association due to my master being one of the Kingsguard members."

Bella grinned, waving with her towel hand, flipping the thing everywhere, getting it more wet. She missed the incredulous look, and simply took it for jealousy.

It was a sad fact of the world that not everyone could have a hat as cool as hers.

"Hiya dere, I'm Belladonna, but ya can call me Bella unless ya gonna make fun of it or somethin'. I'ma Kingsguard too! Well... as long as dey keep payin' me, anyway."

"He had them but lost them when he forsook his title. I didn't have to join really, but the man is really hopeless when he's alone. He has no survival skills whatsoever, it would be close to murder. And propositioning Albert is really a fruitless endeavor, you wouldn't be the first woman who thought he was a pent-up scholar."

"No, it's not like that. I'm not that type of servant. I like to keep business and pleasure apart from each other. I'm a professional. Besides, my relationship with my master is...different than that. It's hard to explain, really. It's not that he's unattractive, just that it's best for me to remain his servant."

She chuckled and smiled, looking rather smug.
"He felt guilty about the assassins who snuck into the castle and him splitting me from Lord Albert during the siege, so me and the Master decided to take advantage of it. We convinced him to act as a retainer for the day and that a uniform was needed. I took his measurements and asked a tailor to make a maid's outfit with that. Then when he arrived we told him that he never said if he was a maid or a butler, so he had to wear it to keep his end of the bargain."

Anja stretches her arms, and slowly exists the steaming water to retrieve a bottle of whiskey. Her unprotected skin reveals several large scars on her back and thighs, along with the raw cut from the arrowhead on her left arm. She takes a swig from the glass bottle, and slips back into the warm water.

She grinned lazily, and took her share of the liquor, feeling the bottle grow lighter faster than she was used too. Although her face was clearly flushed, her words didn't slur at all and her movements still fluid.
