  3. here is the workaround i developed ...
  4.
  5. i originally attempted this to supply custom patch names ,
  6. to replace the GM midi patch names that are standard w/ this generator ...
  7. it occured to me that the same process could solve the custom drum map request ...
  8.
  9. i can't see where this can do any harm , but exercise caution ,
  10. and back up everything , just in case ...
  11.
  12. first off , you will be using a modified MIDI Out channel generator ,
  13. to drive your drum module : battery , kontakt , what have you ...
  14. if this does not appeal to you , then go no further ...
  15.
  16. 01.] copy the MIDI Out channel generator folder to the desktop ...
  17. ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\FL Studio 10\Plugins\Fruity\Generators\... )
  18.
  19. 02.] re-name the folder ...
  20.
  21. 03.] open the renamed folder , and re-name the MIDI Out.dll , to match ...
  22.
  23. 04.] open the Data folder ...
  24.
  25. 05.] open the text file ' GM Drums ' ...
  26. the text contained herein is portrayed in the piano roll , when the MIDI Out
  27. generator is set to channel 10 ...
  28. the text is listed in inverse order , and runs from D#2 to D#7 ...
  29.
  30. 06.] edit this text , to suit your needs , and save ...
  31.
  32. 07.] move the modified folder back into the ' generators ' folder ...
  33.
  34. once you open FLS , you will need to re-scan your plugins ,
  35. to see the modified generator ...
  36.
  37. insert the modified generator , and set it to channel 10 ...
  38. the piano roll will show the custom map ...
  39. port the generator to drive your drum module ...
