[00:04] Godfrey hadn't gotten the chance to really catch his breath when Kabu speaks up. Emeraldborn. That's a neat title, but it isn't one he preferred or subscribed to. He very quickly stands up now and hobbles backwards with a weak grunt and cough to his approach. Wounds were still bleeding much, and he had to leave as they were just passing through.

He would be permitted access this once - Then never again. That was fine. It was utterly fine. He wasn't leaving home any time soon. Not after today's debacle - Not after everything he'd seen and felt today. "Sorry.. Eryn.. Sorry."

[00:10] No, that one line wasn't enough, even she could figure that out. "The Fallen Angel attacked Levengard and it was repelled. It tried opening up this massive rift in the sky, but the Wayfinders attending the attack were able to close it." She let loose a shudder. "The things I could see in there....it was terrible. Godfrey, however...thought he saw Azrael."

She paused for a moment, trying to get her thoughts in order. "So he decided to sprout wings and fly through the portal, so of course I went after him to try and stop him, and we ended up both going through, and we came out in Briar Locke. Yeah, if that Angel hadn't for some reason decided to let us go, we'd probably be dead or worse by now." She'd kind of rushed through the exposition, regaining her breath after blurting it all out.

"But yeah, we're alive, so there's that at least. But Briar is certainly, one hundred percent aligned with that Angel."

[00:19] Dogslayer stoops down and gets onto one knee, owing to the fact that he's incredibly tall and Godfrey is surprisingly short for his age. He looks into his eyes, putting a hand on the boy's shoulder.

"Godfrey, you need to know that no matter what happens, God will always be there for you. It was He who created you, and it is He who is silently rooting for you, outside of our perception. Though our God has been trapped by the devil, Kraus, always, always remember that He is on your side. No one else's."

His face drops. A grimace forms.

"Until the day I die, Godfrey, I will always protect you and be there for you. Your mother was one of the greatest people I've ever had to privilege of knowing. She embodied the Azraelite will to bring peace to this agonizingly cruel world. Always try to make her proud."

[00:21] Eryn offers something of a small smile towards Dan. The man showed her new sides of him everytime she saw him, seriously.

[00:28] Godfrey scoots over though his legs are bleeding very slightly into his clothes. They're slowly turning red, but he's accepting of this while Dan went to talk to the youth. A kneel happens in front of him, and Godfrey stares back at Dogslayer for a time as he speaks. It is a mark of protection, a promise he would keep him safe.

"But what.. When you're not there, Mister Dan? A lot of people told me.. They'll keep me safe no matter what. Today was different. Today was so horrible, Mister Dan." The last part about Azrael brings a touching smile to the tormented youth's face, though.

Kraus. Devil. It made so much sense. Dogslayer was one of very few who understood adamant Azraelism like he did.

".. Momma was amazing. She wanted peace for everyone.. We'll reach it, Mister Dan. I know we will." He felt less terrible then and there.

Godfrey had been re-affirmed of his beliefs and pursuits.

'Always try to make her proud.'

"I'll finish what she started. I promise I'll make her proud, Mister Dan."

Us true Dawnites understand that, unlike Sors, the cunt." Surprisingly brazen coming from the Drakanite, but she didn't see a problem with badmouthing the man now she'd rebelled against him.

She had nothing to say in response to his other words, not really having known Freya well enough to feel it was her place to comment.

[00:34] Somewhere in the background Ardith loiters, watching from under her hood. There's a mix of emotions that pass through her. Each is betrayed by the unsubtle flicker of her aura.

[00:40] All the others she's brought into her home filter out, one by one, after such warmly exchanged words. Almost like family, as if they care for one another. There's a pang in her heart, deep in her chest, that positively aches.

Are these things she will ever have? That will ever be hers?

Here in the quiet, in the dark, she's struck by an emptiness that results only in a keening wail as she slumps with her back to the upended bookshelf. Her face in her hands, she lets the occult amplified sorrow consume her as she cries there in the vast manse...
