  1. Hi Bob, my name is Vincent as you might have noticed already :) and I'm a 4th year Computer Science student in UP. Anyway, I read your post in our CSG Yahoo Groups about looking for a part-time programmer for your company. But what got me interested was when I read that you are using RoR apps for Facebook/Twitter which I have never done before. I have been a fan of Ruby, and Rails! I started using the language on my 3rd Year in College for a school project and I fell in love ever since. I have built probably a handful of toy applications a few school projects here and there and one of my applications was actually launched (just recently but it's also still under constant development for improvements and stuff) in the web for a motoring (vamamotors.com) company. It's not much really (compared to school projects with teachers telling you what to do and stuff!),just a few databse actions (just the News and its CRUD's). I'm also part of the team (4 of us) that developed the official website of the Computers Science Department (well..soon to be the official site :) ). I'm not a coding genius, I just love to design and code. I love to create web apps on my own which I normally do but I really prefer working inside a team. I think it keeps the new ideas flowing. I have also been using Java and C# for about 3 years now for school projects and the like. I'm also into CSS, Ajax, JQueries which I use in some of my apps, had to spend a lot of time with since RoR gives you the opportunity to have a lot of time for your front end. Well I think that's about it, I'm really hoping to hear from you soon because I would definitely learn a lot from this opportunity. Thank you and have a good day!
