1. Download VMware workstation trial version

2. Download Win7 VM image

3. Downgrade the Mavic and RC to 0400 firmware using the VM snapshots. If you are already on .700 you can skip this part.

4. Download the beta assistant software and copy to the VM.

 The VM doesn�t have network connection, so use a USB drive attached to VM.


5. Unzip and start the assistant exe, hit ctrl-shift-i

5.1 If this doesn't work, go to your program files directory for the assistant, edit AppFiles/main.js, and uncomment (remove the //) the line that says mainWindow.webContents.openDevTools(). You may have to copy the file to your desktop to edit it then copy it back and overwrite the original to get around permission issues on Windows. This will open dev tools automatically when launching Assistant.

6. Click on resources tab

7. Edit the debug_enabled to true, factory_enabled to true, and debug to 1

8. Click the X in the top right corner

9. Connect the mavic to the VM

10. Click params, edit the params you want or the ones in the txt file danny posted here: Parameters to change to Via DJi assistant
