University of Texas Donor Concern Email

To whom it may concern:

My name is [NAME], and I am a donor of the University of Texas. I am concerned about recent actions taken by the University, and reconsidering giving to the institution as a result.

Specifically, I am concerned that the University of Texas finds it appropriate to call in militarized state troopers to harass, arrest, and brutalize members of the UT and greater Austin community who are exercising their constitutional right to protest. I am also concerned that 16% of UT faculty members no longer have confidence in President Hartzell.

If the following demands made by the Palestine Solidarity Committee are not met, I will need to reconsider my donations going forward:


    1. Full amnesty to previously arrested students and a commitment to allowing free speech as protected by the First Amendment;

    2. Reinstatement of the Palestine Solidarity Committee as an organization at UT; and

    3. Full divestment from companies complicit in the ongoing genocide occurring in Gaza.
